❤️ Cervical Screening & HPV ❤️
You may have seen recent news about changes to the cervical screening programme and how screening is carried out.
Our understanding of cervical cancer has developed enormously over the past decade. We now know that persistent infection with certain high risk types of HPV is responsible for the vast majority of cervical cancers, which is why HPV testing plays such an important role in cervical screening.
❤️ A Positive Story ❤️
A 31 year old lady contacted me after having yearly cervical screening and colposcopies due to persistent HPV.
Following our first telephone consultation, we put together a personalised nutrition, supplementation and lifestyle programme designed to support her overall health and immune function alongside her usual medical care and screening.
She has just received the results of her latest test...
đź’š HPV NOT DETECTED! đź’š
For the first time in 8 years. 🙌
I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to hear her news.
While no nutrition or lifestyle programme can guarantee that HPV will clear, there are positive steps we can take to support our health and immune system.
So please, ladies, don't put off your cervical screening. Attend when you're invited, follow up any abnormal results with your healthcare team, and look at the areas of your health and lifestyle that you can influence.
Early detection really does matter. ❤️
