One of the biggest misconceptions about tattoos is that they have to be big, bold and dramatic.
The reality?
Many of the women who come to me for their first tattoo choose something small, delicate and deeply personal.
A tiny flower that reminds them of someone they love.
A meaningful date.
A symbol of a chapter they’ve overcome.
A reminder of who they are.
Fine line tattoos are often the perfect first tattoo because they feel elegant, feminine and timeless.
You don’t need to be covered in tattoos.
You don’t need to be “the type of person” who gets tattoos.
You don’t need a dramatic story.
You just need something that feels meaningful to you.
And if you’ve been thinking about getting your first tattoo for months (or years), you’re definitely not alone.
Most of my clients tell me the same thing:
