This evening we spent some lovely time with staff members, volunteers, trainee counsellors, trustees, and all the little elves who help keep Keystone Development Trust working its magic ✨

Sadly, two of our valued team members were unable to join us, but we did manage to capture a quick snap of most of the gang.

We would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🥳

Over the past eight months, Keystone Counselling Service has been proud to offer free counselling sessions provided by trainee counsellors. During this time, six counsellors have been supporting clients, all under the supervision of Button Wilde. We have been incredibly fortunate to receive such positive feedback, and the service has continued to be very well received within the community.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to our volunteers, trustees, and the wider Keystone Development Trust staff for their continued support, belief in the service, and for trusting us with the opportunity to provide accessible counselling within the community. Your faith has made this work possible.

If you or someone you know would like to access counselling support, please feel free to email [email protected], including your full name and contact number🎄

🌟🌟🌟 Jake was one of the first counsellors to join the service, Heres a bit about him🌟🌟🌟

I’m a trainee integrative counsellor, soon to graduate, offering a warm and non-judgmental space where you can bring whatever is on your mind. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that healing occurs through safe and supportive relationships.

My practice draws from a range of therapeutic models, including client-led, psychodynamic, and somatic approaches, as well as contemporary bio-social theories such as polyvagal theory and interpersonal neurobiology. I pay careful attention to each person’s unique way of seeing and relating to the world, exploring how past experiences may shape the present.

Alongside my academic and placement training, I bring a wealth of experience from fast-paced business environments. These varied life experiences have deepened my respect for intersubjectivity and the many ways people survive, adapt, and grow.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin, we can start exactly where you are. In your own time, at your own pace—within a relationship designed to support your growth.

⭐️⭐️Team member post⭐️⭐️
My name is Kerrie and I’m a trainee counsellor currently completing my placement as part of my professional training. I work integratively, drawing on phenomenological, psychodynamic, and humanistic approaches to support you in exploring whatever feels important in your life right now. At the heart of my work is a belief that change and healing can happen through a safe, compassionate relationship — one where you feel truly seen, heard, and accepted. I offer a warm, reflective space where we can slow down together and pay close attention to your lived experience, including your thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations.

From a phenomenological perspective, I’m interested in how you experience the world in the present moment. Drawing on humanistic values, I see you as the expert on your own life and believe in your capacity for growth and self-understanding. The psychodynamic lens helps us explore how past experiences and unconscious patterns might be influencing your current relationships, behaviours, and inner world. You don’t need to have anything ‘figured out’ before coming to therapy — we can begin wherever you are. Our work together will unfold at your pace and in your own way.

Thank you,
Kerrie

🌟🌟🌟 Charley is another team member🌟🌟🌟

Hello, I’m Charley, a student counsellor studying a degree in Integrative Counselling.
I am passionate about supporting others and providing a safe, welcoming space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
I believe mental health support should be accessible to all, so it is an honour to contribute to a service supporting the local community through Keystone Counselling Service.
I look forward to developing my counselling skills, and growing both professionally and personally, to become a confident and compassionate counsellor.
