đź’™ Can our local community help Keystone Counselling Service?
We have now settled into our new counselling rooms at Abbey Neighbourhood Centre in Thetford, but there is one little thing we desperately need: two electric fans!
Our counselling rooms don’t have windows and, particularly during this very warm weather, they can become extremely hot and stuffy. As you can imagine, sitting in a counselling session for an hour in a very warm room isn’t particularly comfortable for either our clients or our trainee counsellors.
Keystone Counselling Service receives no funding. Our counselling is provided completely free of charge to the community, our trainee counsellors volunteer their time while gaining the clinical hours required to qualify, and I also give my time voluntarily to manage the service.
That means we simply don’t have an income pot to dip into when things like this are needed.
So, before we look at other options, we thought we’d ask our community. 🌿
Does anyone have a good working electric fan they no longer need and would be willing to donate to us?
We are looking for two fans, ideally suitable for keeping a small counselling room comfortable without being excessively noisy.
If you can help, or know a local business that might be willing to donate one, please get in touch.
Sometimes something relatively small can make a very big difference to a service like ours.
Thank you from everyone at Keystone Counselling Service. đź’™
