Two garden visits this week with the Outward Opportunities group, on Wednesday we weeded and swept two patio areas and today we cleared weeds from an area, weeded a raspberry bed, cut a hedge and weeded a driveway.

Hi everyone,

A reminder that todays weather is forecast to be extremely hot, with temperatures across Suffolk expected to exceed 30°C. Parts of Suffolk have now officially met Met Office heatwave conditions, and heat-health alerts have been issued across eastern areas due to theœ extreme temperatures expected over the next few days.

Please take some time to think carefully about whether attending is the right decision for you/your person. Everyone copes with heat differently, and if you feel it may be too much, it is absolutely okay to stay at home and keep cool.

If you do attend, please make sure you come prepared:
• Wear light, loose-fitting clothing
• Apply suncream before arriving and bring some with you
• Bring and wear a hat/cap
• Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the session
• Please avoid heavy clothing or anything unsuitable for hot weather

We will do our very best to navigate the heat safely and keep everyone as comfortable as possible, including taking regular breaks, encouraging hydration and using shaded areas where possible.

However, the wellbeing of everyone attending is the priority, so please think carefully before coming.

💚 Celebrating 10 Years of Lisa! 💚

​Today marks a truly special milestone for us at Beyond the Wall—we are celebrating Lisa’s 10-year work anniversary! 🎉

​Ten years ago, Lisa joined the team with plenty of enthusiasm but, by her own admission, not much of a green thumb. Fast forward through a decade of dedication, dirt, and learning, and she has officially earned the title of Gardener! 👩‍🌾🌱 It has been a joy to watch her skills bloom over the years.

​Beyond her work with the plants, Lisa is an incredible teammate. She is a core part of a crew that always keeps each other laughing, and her constant support behind the scenes has meant the world to everyone around her.

​Lisa, thank you for a wonderful decade of hard work, laughs, and dedication. We truly appreciate everything you do, and we can’t wait to see what the next years bring! 🥂
