I'M A SEASONAL WOMAN. NOT A MACHINE 😂

I started a four-week process a little while ago, which I was very excited about, and all geared up for, and it got off to a really good start.

Until this past week, when it all started to tail off 🤦‍♀️ Cue the internal interrogation:

Why aren't you keeping this up? You were doing so well. What's happened to your consistency?

Urgh. But really, it wasn’t because I'd somehow lost consistency. It was because I’d forgotten something rather important. Whoops 😨

I'm a seasonal woman 🌗 not a machine 🤖

You see, I started the process in my inner Spring, full of enthusiasm, energy and ready to go. I sailed through Summer, but hadn't accounted for Autumn and Winter.

Meaning, the woman who started that process wasn't quite the same woman who was struggling to keep it going a couple of weeks later.

My energy had changed, and what felt easy and exciting at the beginning was feeling different. But instead of recognising that shift, I was questioning my consistency.

Quite simply, I'd planned what I wanted to do, but I hadn't planned how to support myself through the whole journey 😬

Annoying because I know this work. I live and breathe it. But sometimes, even when we know better, we can get caught up in the doing and forget to apply it to ourselves.

So now I'm revisiting my roadmap and building in the foundations to support me through the entire process, as my energy, needs and inner seasons shift.

Because I'm not here to force myself into a box or demand that I operate at the same level every single week. I'm here to find ways to work with myself, not against myself.

Consider me reminded 😂

The Fluctuator is back 💪

Hasta la vista, unrealistic expectations 😂

What if: You're not failing. You're fluctuating. 🍂

Yesterday's energy isn't today's energy. And that's ok ☺️

Nature gives us clues all the time. What happens when we stop judging ourselves for changing and start paying attention instead?

A little reminder to slow down, tune in and meet yourself where you are today. ❤️

What if this New Moon 🌚 your intention wasn't to create something new, but to learn to trust yourself a little more?

To actually hear your own voice again?

I've created a simple new moon journal to help you learn to listen again.

Not a to create more, or do more,

But to do less and be more 🌚

Type WINTER and I'll send you a copy xx

We're into week two of RELEASE and we're starting to go a little deeper.

Last week was really about beginning to notice what you are holding onto, afraid of letting go of, identifying what autumn has to teach you about change, and most importantly, noticing your relationship with letting go.

This week we're going somewhere slightly different.

We're turning inward.

Because it's one thing to notice that you're holding something. It's another to actually become willing to feel what's underneath it.

And I don't mean sitting there trying to work out why you feel the way you do. Or trying to fix it. Or make it go away.

I'm talking about getting curious with it.

What am I actually feeling?

Where do I feel it? Where do I sense it in my body?

What happens when I don't immediately try to change it?

What might I discover if I stay with it for a little longer?

We're going to get curious about all of it this week - anger, grief, expression, identity, joy - and what happens when we give ourselves permission to experience more of what's actually here.

Because what if the goal isn't to feel better all the time?

What if it's to become more comfortable with feeling?

To discover that you can feel something without it having to define you, control you, or become another problem you need to solve.

So that's my question for you this week:

What happens when you stop trying to change how you feel and become curious about what you're actually feeling?

I'd really love to know what comes up for you. 🍂

My work is about helping women develop a different relationship with their body - one based on curiosity rather than fear, awareness rather than constant analysis, and trust rather than second-guessing.

You don't need another person to become the expert on you.

You need to learn how to listen to yourself.

Who is the expert on you?

It means a lot to me when someone takes the time to share their experience 🙏🥰❤️

Sandra has known me for years, both personally and professionally and this is what she had to say:

"Julie has helped me so much over the years, not only as a friend but on a professional level. Her support and guidance has been amazing, and her kindness and non judgemental approach leaves you wanting Julie to be your go to when you feel stuck."

Your body isn't the obstacle to your life.
It's how you learn to navigate it ❤️

You can be really good at helping other people. They trust you. They value what you know. They come to you for guidance.

And yet underneath all of that, you can still be questioning yourself.

So you learn more. Train more. Add another qualification. Keep looking for that little bit of something that will finally make you trust yourself as much as other people seem to.

I've done it too.

But the confidence to trust yourself doesn't come from knowing more.

Especially when you've become disconnected from your own body. When you don't quite feel like yourself, or the way you look and feel has started to affect how you see yourself in the mirror.

Rebuilding self-trust starts much closer to home.

With your body.

Learning its language. Understanding its signals. Listening to what it's been trying to tell you.

Because your body isn't the obstacle.

It is the way back to yourself.

❤️

What do you want? 🌕

The Full Moon shines a light on things. So let it.

Where are you right now?

And perhaps more importantly:

What do you want?

What do you want for your health, your body, your relationships, your work, your life?

And are you actually giving your energy to the things you want?

~

This is a little excerpt from today's Julie's Journal. 🌕

I'm sharing more about how I use the Moon, the seasons and the body as anchor points to help us understand our own experience and make more conscious choices about how we want to live.

What If You’re Doing It All Wrong? 🤷🏼‍♀️🤯

Why is this whole letting go thing such a challenge?

I hear it all the time:

“I know I need to let go, but I just can’t.”

And I think it’s because we’re doing it all wrong.

We make letting go an action. Something we have to do. Something that requires force, effort and focus.

But what if we don’t need to focus on the letting go at all?

What if we need to focus on what we want to let in?

Because when we focus on what we actually want to receive, the letting go can simply happen.

No force.
No effort.
No fighting with ourselves.

So instead of asking:

What do I need to let go of?

Have a think:

What do I actually want to let in?

And start there.

So much love 😘❤️❤️❤️ 🍂
