Hey everyone 🙋‍♀️

Apologies for the radio silence for the past month!

I've been avoiding posting because I felt like the first post in a long time had to matter and had to have some kind of explanation even though I highly doubt anyone has noticed 😂

Then I realised, the most important thing that I feel is on my mind and I would like to say to you all is THANK YOU 🤎

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every single client who has been so incredibly understanding and patient with me over the past month when having to move appointments around. I'm not sure if I feel comfortable posting about anything too personal (I don't even post on my personal page 😂) and unsure if this is an appropriate place to post anything personal.

However, over the past month particularly, I have been struggling with my health and been back and forth to the hospital more times than I would like to admit. So you know all that great advice I give you all about self care? I'm going to start taking some of that advice myself! 😂

With now being officially moved in to the salon and with new reduced hours, please be assured you will all get the incredible treatment you deserve.

Prices have now increased by £5 but if you were rescheduled from August, you will not be charged the new price for this appointment.

Thank you again, you're the best clients a gal could ask for 🥰

Hello everyone 🙋‍♀️

Thought I would do another wee introduction since the Forth Valley Food Guy has sparked another influx of followers 🤭 So thank you to FVFG for growing my following and helping to keep my diary very busy and thank you to you all for supporting me and being part of the journey 🤩

My name is Karen (but I'm not a Karen Karen, promise!)
I am 36 years young with the maturity of a 6 year old and body of an 86 year old (posture is shocking, I know that's terrible for a massage therapist!).

My husband Craig and I have a little 5 year old boy called Hayden who is my wee bestie and makes me laugh every day. We also have a wee chunky monkey cat called Bella 🐱 and a python called Onyx 🐍

I have been in the industry for 15 years now (I think..I've started to lose track!) Which all started when I couldn't continue working at height doing Theatre Production. I came across a Complementary Therapies course thinking it was just for fun and something different but I fell in love, found my passion and never looked back. Nothing makes me happier than caring for people and helping them feel better 💆‍♀️💆‍♂️ I have worked in many salons and spas but have never felt at home the way I do at The Salon in Tillicoultry 🤎 I am also beauty trained but my heart just wasn't in it the way it is for holistic treatments. Although I did find waxing very satisfying! But believe me, you do not want me doing your nails. Love the prep work but painting is questionnable. Apologies to everyone back in the day who was stuck with me doing their nails 🙈

I'm the clumsiest, chaotic, messiest person in life but somehow while doing a treatment, I'm a completely different person. Always the most zen when I'm with a client and then like a bull in a china shop the rest of the time.

I can play a bit of piano, paint and draw (so it's a mystery why I suck so much at painting nails). I make wee smelly things like candles, soaps and wax melts which I will be making plenty more of in time for Christmas 🤩 I've also written a children's book which I'll maybe publish some day? I'm very good at starting projects and not finishing them 🤦‍♀️ Can anyone else relate?

I am a self-confessed sugar addict. I live on chocolate and pizza. So if you're ever wondering if I'm looking a little bit pregnant, it's just permanent sugar bloat.

Think that about sums it up 😁

Hello everyone 🙋‍♀️

*** A few updates ***

I have made the very difficult decision to stop doing mobile treatments and discontinue use of my home treatment room.

This change will come into place on the 1st of September.

Going forward, I will be located in The Salon 33 Tillicoultry Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Thursdays 10am-6pm
Fridays 10am-6pm
Saturday 9am-7pm

I understand there are some of you who would prefer not to travel to Tillicoultry as Bonnybridge is so handy for you so I am sorry for any inconvenience!

I know there are a few of you with your appointments scheduled at my home treatment room as far as October so I will be in touch privately to get you rescheduled.

Also, I have wanted to avoid a price increase but as my expenditure has been more since April 2026, I will have to raise my prices slightly from the 1st of September. I will continue to keep my prices as low as possible but this slight increase will ensure I am consistently using high quality products and able to put money back into the business to provide you with the best experience.

New prices will be

120 Minutes | £95

We now have an inhalation bowl to maximise your benefits from your chosen oils. Having this will encourage slow, mindful breathing and deeper relaxation whilst helping with any sinus congestion. (We all know our noses can get a little stuffy when we're lying face down! 🤧)

Also, you get to choose every detail of your treatment from the massage pressure and style to the aromatherapy oils and music so why not throw in another decision for you to make? 🤪😂

You can now choose between a warm eye pillow or a cooling rose quartz eye mask or you can even have both!

A cold eye mask provides quick, targeted relief by constricting blood vessels and reducing inflammation around the eye area. It is highly effective for reducing under-eye puffiness, soothing allergy-related itchiness and alleviating headaches or migraines.

A warm eye mask can also help with tension headaches. It provides comfort whilst it soothes and relaxes both the nervous system and the muscles surrounding the delicate eye area.
