What do you believe?

I believe food can change your health.

Since taking the whole food capsules and Omegas, my health has changed dramatically.

I used to need a sleep every afternoon and half of Saturday. That stopped within about three weeks. Imagine how much more life you can fit in when you’re not asleep!

I was starting to get arthritis in my hands. That’s gone.

But the biggest thing for me was walking. My feet hurt, my back hurt, my shoulders hurt. I was starting to make excuses and tell Kev, “You take the dogs, I’ve got work to do.”

Now I’ve walked Freddie every day for a year and nothing hurts.

My tummy is so much more settled. I don’t get the stomach pain and upset tummies I used to get. And if I do overindulge, I know exactly why and I double up on my capsules and alls right again!

People are also starting to comment on my skin. I’ve always had pretty good skin, but now people are saying, “Wow, your skin looks amazing.”

It’s so tempting to meet for coffee and cake

And something with rice, pasta , chips for dinner

If you are trying to manage your gut health, reduce the bloat, calm the loose bowels or get yourself going then variety is the key.

But .. don’t make that lots of fruit, it will have the opposite affect!

My two top tips for how not to wreck your health progress over the holiday weekend

No 1. Decide on how many treats per day you are going to allow your self . Maximum is 2
That way you don’t need to keep making a decision! So much easier

No2. If you drink alcohol give the fruit cocktail a miss. They will spike your blood sugar and they are way too easy to drink !

Here is a free tip 😁 take an electrolyte each day.. it’s easy to get dehydrated , and then you feel hungry and reach for food rather than water

When a holiday weekend is on the horizon and it’s going to be sunny, we need to pause just for a moment

If you suffer with IBS or other gut issues then you need to think ‘Is it worth it’ before you dive into the BBQ, the snacks, the spritzers

Salad isn’t everyones friend
Alcohol isn’t a friend to anyone, but definitely not to those of us with poor gut health
Shop bought dressing can tip your gut into disarray

So what can you do ?
Roasted veg, cooled add balsamic vinegar and olive oil
Stick to 1 or 2 glasses of your choice but increase the hydration and include an electrolyte
Make your own simple dressing good quality olive oil, crush garlic, balsamic

Have a wonderful weekend
