We’re both so excited to share our passions for food, Breathwork, somatics with you to get you set for the summer. They can all be so powerful with small tweaks and changes.

Who’d have thought all those years ago when we first met discussing case studies that one day we would be sharing more widely.

Starts 1st July, the detox and our support are free. For the detox to be successful you must sign up to take our recommended fruit and veg capsules which are a core part of supporting the body to naturally detoxify. We both use these for ourselves and our families and love the way they can gently support and nourish the body for increased energy, mental clarity, balancing the body and feeling great.

Wondering when you’ll ever get to step off the treadmill?

The truth is you won’t. Not unless you make the time. Take the time to pause, to notice your breath and really notice how your body feels.

Once you start making time for yourself it becomes a non negotiable part of your life.

Because when you learn to find calm, open up the breath and find your energy, it spreads. Gradually life becomes calmer, those around you before calmer and the treadmill is suddenly manageable.

The hardest part is the first step. And here it is for you. Next Wednesday 17th June 2 hours to feel supported, to let go and allow the body and mind to let go. # Breathwork

As a nutritional therapist, coach and breathworker, I’ve tried a lot: supplements, protocols, breath practices, movement programmes. If I’m recommending it to clients, I need to have lived it myself first. That’s a non-negotiable for me.

So naturally, I’ve tried detoxing too.

My first attempt? A complete disaster. No easing in gently — straight in with the chlorella. A few hours later I was violently sick. Lesson learned (the hard way).

Here’s the thing: a detox, done well, can be genuinely transformative.

When the body is properly supported, a gentle detox can really help to increase energy bringing clearer thinking. More than that it can also help digestion, skin, sleep, balancing moods and hormones, reduce joint stiffness and inflammation.

But the body needs to be ready.

Rush it, skip the preparation, or go too hard too fast, and you won’t get those benefits. You’ll just feel worse. That’s exactly what happened to me with the chlorella.

Detox done gently, with the right support and the right timing? That’s a different story entirely.

Having had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant, I know that my rush of developing type 2 diabetes is increased.

Despite watching what I eat and avoiding sugar my blood markers are often high.

As with all things in relation to the body, it is complex. These actions help, but for me, I believe chronic stress was the main driver. Keeping cortisol and blood sugar elevated.

This is why food can make a big difference, but so can lifestyle changes, Breathwork and wider actions to reduce the chronic stress in our lives.

The most valuable thing with any breath practice is to pick one that you find helpful and do it every day. By repeating it regularly, you can, not only start to feel the benefits, but also in times of stress when you need it, it is second nature.

I recently read that the slower we breathe the longer we can live. Clearly there are many other variables.

But knowing the physiological benefits of slowing, deepening, opening the breath it makes absolute sense.

Lowered blood pressure, reduced stress, improved sleep, feeling calmer. And we all have that power within us! 💕

I didn’t set out to be. Breathworkers. It found me. I started with 10 minutes a day. It made me feel calmer, it was the first thing that really calmed my mind.

It is very hard to make big leaps. But small changes are very doable and can still make a difference to sleep, energy and how we feel.

That’s all I’m suggesting. 5 minutes pause in the middle of your day.

Please give it a go and let me know how you feel.

I find pausing hard so will do it myself too every day this week and report back if what difference it makes to my afternoon energy which often slumps. 💕 changes
