🌕 Full Flower Moon – 1st May 2026 🌸

Today we welcome the beautiful Full Flower Moon - a moon traditionally associated with blossoming, growth and the abundance of spring. Named for the season when flowers bloom in full colour, this moon symbolises renewal, transformation and the flourishing of new possibilities.

This year’s Flower Moon carries an added layer of rarity, as May 2026 includes two full moons within the same calendar month, with this first full moon occurring near lunar apogee - the point at which the Moon is furthest from Earth in its orbit. Often referred to as a Micromoon, this makes it appear slightly smaller and softer in the sky. While not as visually dramatic as a supermoon, this combination is considered an unusual celestial event and offers a special moment for reflection on the rhythms and cycles of nature.
