This week, Kirsty and Chelsea enjoyed working with care and support workers from Dunboyne Court and the Newton Abbot branch, delivering a care notes workshop for everyone to attend. The workshop has already contributed to an improvement in the quality of care notes being recorded.

Following its success, Kirsty and Chelsea will be delivering the same workshop to care and support workers at Whitley Court. We look forward to working with our teams there in the coming weeks! 🙂

Dunboyne Court and Newton Abbot had the pleasure of completing the Train the Trainer courses in Moving & Handling and Medication Management with the lovely trainer, Lisa.

Lisa made the training both engaging and enjoyable, creating a fun and interactive learning environment.

We would like to congratulate Jeanette for achieving employee of the month!

Jeanette was nominated for recognising that a resident at Dunboyne Court needed support to complete a routine that he had previously been struggling with and that an adaptable, collaborative effort by all team members was needed.

Jeanette demonstrated a thoughtful approach by consulting with the management team at Dunboyne Court before implementing a new way of supporting the resident.

The result? 🎉 IT WORKED 🎉

This week our registered manager attended an Outstanding Society webinar about how CQC is evolving and how we can be inspection ready. It was a wonderful session, that’s helped us gain lots of useful insight about future inspection frameworks.

What can be achieved when a care provider and local authority builds flexibility into a partnership from day one?

Since 2023, Agincare and Southwark Council have worked together to expand nursing capacity, strengthen hospital discharge pathways, support reablement services and invest in workforce wellbeing across five care and nursing homes.

From launching the Avon Unit to supporting nursing, and discharge to assess pathways, to helping residents regain independence and return home safely, the partnership continues to evolve in response to local need.
