Therapy Session: Nature Edition 🌳☀️

Since my post last week about hitting 500 days 🏆, I’ve been looking for ways to really lean into this recalibration. This weekend, I found it. 🧘‍♂️

Getting out in the sun and hitting my favorite spots around my hometown really did some stuff for me. 🌊 From the quiet trails of Chapel Woods 🌲 to the views over Torquay 🌅, nature was the therapy session I needed.

Lately, it’s been about being intentional with my energy. ⚡ The sun proved to be a powerful reset for my mental state—and left me with a burnt red nose 👃🔴 to prove it!

It’s a reminder that taking the time to just be in a place like this is a productive move in itself. 🕊️
Feeling refreshed. Still sober. Still going. 🦾

500 DAYS🏆

500 days ago, I made a choice that changed everything.🚫🍺

Since after hitting the one-year mark on November 2nd, the journey has shifted into a new phase. I've officially cleared the deck: no alcohol, and now 2 months of no va**ng, and no smoking🚭

I’ll be honest—it hasn't been all high energy and perfect routines. Lately, my focus has been hit-or-miss and my appetite has been extremely high. But I’ve realized this isn’t a setback—it’s a recalibration.🔃

After stripping away the chemicals, my brain is finally learning how to run on its own fuel again. I’m giving myself the grace to eat, rest, and recover while the internal "construction" happens.🚧

500 days is a massive win. The energy and the "fit" version of me will return in time, but for today, I’m just proud of the solid foundation I’ve built.💪

Still going. Still sober.

I’d love to hear from you guys: Have any of you hit a major "plateau" or a shift in energy after your first year?

Discipline isn't just about what you do in the gym; it’s about how you handle the noise in your head when life gets heavy. 👊

Most of the time, we’re told to just 'keep going,' but sometimes your nervous system needs a manual reset. When the 'what if' loops start racing or your chest feels tight from stress, you need a circuit breaker.

That’s why I use BOX BREATHING 🌬️
It’s a simple, tactical tool that physically drops your heart rate and puts you back in the driver's seat of your own mind. You don't need equipment, and no one even has to know you’re doing it—it’s just 60 seconds to reclaim your focus.👀

Swipe through to see the breakdown of how it works and how to use it next time the pressure builds.🧠

The last 3 weeks have been the hardest, but they’ve also been the most rewarding. Deciding to quit smoking wasn't just a health choice—it was a discipline choice.
I no longer rely on a habit to get me through a hard day.🫁

Starting 2026, I feel a physical weight lifted. I can breathe. I can sleep. I am finally becoming closer to the person I’ve always wanted to be. There’s no rush to change everything at once; just take it one breath at a time.🌬️

When the novelty fades, discipline becomes self-respect.

Sobriety isn’t always exciting.
Sometimes it’s quiet.

But every day you choose yourself, you’re building a stronger you.

2025 was the year I finally stopped running. It was one of the most challenging but rewarding years of my life.🎉

I’ve experienced every emotion possible this year without a drop of alcohol—the highs, the ruts, and everything in between—and for the first time, it feels so good to actually be present for it all.🎆

Thank you 2025 for making my sobriety special. Let’s make 2026 a good year.

After a year of sobriety, I’ve learned that it’s okay to lose pace sometimes.⚡

What matters most is getting back up and taking the small, quiet steps that shape our journey.🌱

The temporary avoidance used to feel easy, but it always came with a massive hidden cost. Choosing the lasting, powerful work of self-care is the hardest thing you'll ever do—and the most worthwhile.🧠

What did you swap avoidance for? 👇

Hello everyone! I'm back with some good news & November highlights 🥳

I know it's been a little while! I had to take a small, unexpected break recently while dealing with some neck inflammation issues. Thankfully, after a few hospital appointments and an ultrasound, everything has checked out fine, and I'm feeling so relieved and much better now!🙏🎉

Here’s what I got up to in November:

Fireworks Extravaganza:
I went to Abingdon to see the biggest fireworks display in the UK, complete with an enormous bonfire! It was absolutely nothing like I've ever seen before—truly spectacular.🎆

History & Heritage:
I took a trip to Wi******er and visited the magnificent Wi******er Cathedral. Exploring all those beautiful, ancient artifacts and soaking up the history was amazing.🏚️

Black bow tie Ready:
Got to play James Bond for the night at a work awards party! Such a fun time.🍸

Life certainly tested me this year, but I managed to pull through. Moments like these really make me appreciate how far I've come.
That feeling of truly appreciating these experiences is priceless.🤙

P.S. (Since it's officially December!) You might spot my Christmas tree and the lights on the stairs in the photos—I'm fully embracing the festive spirit now!🎅☃️

So grateful for good health and great times! I hope you all are doing wonderfully too!

Take it one day at a time🧠
