🔴 According to new government data, tooth decay was the leading cause of hospital admission in children aged 5-9 in 2025 (UK Office for Health Improvement and Disparities, 2026) 🔴

That’s why our team is committed to providing Oral Health Training for workforces caring for people of all ages, not just those supporting vulnerable adults. Our team delivers evidence-based Oral Health Training, equipping workforces and communities with the knowledge and confidence to provide excellent ongoing mouth care and education for children of all ages.

The At Home Dental Big Brush team have had a summer of oral health promotion and outreach across the southwest! Here our Oral Health Facilitator Jess has been busy across Bath and North East Somerset and Wiltshire visiting:

🪥Bath Play Project Family Day at Pennyquick
🪥Holiday HAF clubs - Chippenham Sheldon School - St Augustine's Trowbridge and The Manor Primary, Melksham.

It was great to see so many members of the community approach us with questions and we enjoyed sharing information on brushing technique, reducing frequency of sugar and the impact sugar has on teeth, importance of fluoride and other valuable tips for good oral health.

We are promoting and providing supervised toothbrushing in schools and nurseries and oral health champion training to workforces across the region.

At Home Dental are providing FREE Oral Health Training Webinar - For people supporting early years children
Monday 27th July at 10.30am

Join us for a FREE oral health training webinar with At Home Dental, designed especially for people supporting early years children. This training session is aimed at people who work with and support children aged 0 to 5 years.

What to expect:
🦷 Oral health education containing the following topics:

Oral hygiene, including use of fluoride.
Healthy eating
Impact of poor oral health.
Trauma awareness and prevention
Safeguarding children in relation to oral and facial injuries
Signposting to NHS dental services.
Sugar free medicines.

Fully funded by B&NES, Wiltshire are Swindon Council.
