Monday Q&A 10/08/2026 “Why does it feel so uncomfortable to stop?”

If you feel like you're always on the go, always doing something, always thinking about the next thing… you might actually find it uncomfortable when you finally stop.

And that can seem strange.

You think, “Surely if I’m tired, I should feel better when I rest?”

If it's been your natural state of being for so long, doing something so unfamiliar can be strange! It can help us feel emotions that our body has been holding. Emotions that you might have previously pushed down and ignored.

Use the power of a pause. Just take a breath. Maybe do 3. Put a hand on your heart. Or sip a cup of tea just feeling the sensations in your body exactly as they are.

And, as always, it's absolutely fine to take your time!

Change happens through small consistent changes.

What to do when you wake up tired 🥱

1. Check what you've eaten 2 days ago - is it supporting your energy levels or making you sleep poorly 48 hours later as it digests?

2. Get into bed earlier. Switch off the screens and hit the hay relaxed.

3. Make sure your nervous system is helping you relax. Get into your local chiropractor who focuses on helping your body reset and relax so that you can wind down and rest when you sleep.

Cold hands and feet come from lower circulation of blood through the bodies muscles, tissues and organs. Getting more blood pumping heats your body like a hot water bottle.

Things you can do:
• Eat more hot food
• Drink hot water
• Circulation boosting tea
