In a few weeks we’ll be retreating to the sweet haven of wilderness and luxury for this years ‘Wild harmony’ Solstice retreat. ⭐️✨

I have a little space left to join a wonderful group of humans as we take sanctuary for a long weekend on a private peninsula in Cornwall.

We will be celebrating the summer solstice in a slice of heavenly countryside, taking a few days to find sanctuary, softness and deep sweet rest.

Comfortable lodgings are spread throughout the main house and shepherds huts.

We will gather for a deliciously healing, long weekend of Yoga, Qigong, Meditation, Breathwork, Sound healing, hiking, wild swimming, sunrises, sunsets, delicious food and more..

We will be wonderfully nourished by our fabulous plant based chef Chamiah, who we know and love for her beautiful food.

This will be a weekend cloaked in the magic of ceremony and celebration as we attune to and immerse ourselves in the sacred energy of the Summer Solstice

drenched in the magic of Ocean, earth and Sky, we will attune to the ancient rhythms of Mother Earth as we celebrate the fire energy of the Sun over this auspicious weekend, while we breathe in the cleanest air 💕

This Yoga life..a fever fuelled stream of consciousness

The path of Yoga, the way of the Tao, (same same) is and are so many different things, to so many different people.
So many people with their own personal interpretation of what yoga is.

For me, Yoga (and in the past 7 years Qigong too) has always been about easing the suffering of life, a way to learn how to move through life with more ease, more grace, more compassion, more love, more unity.
Spiritually and physically… to feel better, to help others feel better.

This for me can look like so many things in so many different moments, moments where I am more deeply rooted in yoga & Taoist philosophy, moments where I am feeling more adventurous with my physical practice, moments where I my meditation practice is cemented, moments where it slips away, moments where it’s joyful, and done where it’s raw and painful.

What is always comes down for me, in terms of teaching, is that I want people to have the tools to simply FEEL BETTER.
And for myself too.

Of course, over the years, my practices have led me down a path of deeper self enquiry, deeper relationship to true self, planet and all life, and also the ability to forgive my own very human foibles.

I had a week off this week, and my plans for gallivanting around and fully recharging my batteries were completely foiled as I was floored by a horrible virus.
I’m not going to pretend I haven’t grumbled or sulked, let’s be real here, I also am very grateful to be in otherwise good health, being sick is just plain annoying.

yoga does however, teach me acceptance, that perhaps rather than feeling betrayed by my immune system, my body was asking me to really, truly rest, Yoga has taught me to seek the lessons, and to ‘go with the flow’

Yoga a full system for life, is so so much deeper than just a physical practice, Yoga off the mat becomes a way of life, but treating the physical vessel as a sacred expression of the divine, and nurturing, nourishing and strengthening that, is also where it’s at.

And waking up this morning, feeling well enough to move my body, felt absolutely incredible.
And as always, so grateful to have so much to be grateful for💕💕

Hello lovely people - next Saturday 23rd May, we are running a mini day retreat in Abthorpe.
10am-2pm
✨ Join me for a mini retreat, to awaken our bodies and our energetic flow.

✨We will take a strong 90 minute Yoga practice, where will move and groove and really get into the body.

✨Then we slow down with guided savasana & breath, soothing the nervous system and quietening the busy mind.

✨Then we feast! Expect a delicious, nutritious lunch.

✨The final section of the day is slow but steady with a Qigong practice and meditation.

This will be a day to carve out some time for you!!

When the weather is fine, being outdoors all day long in the sun, shifts my energy in a really noticeable way, and it got me to thinking, that I wanted to create an offering, which really embodied this energy, so that we can tune into and experience this radiance as a felt sense in the body, mind and spirit.

And so here we are!
A mini day retreat, to awaken the energies with movement, to soothe our systems with internal practices and to fuel our bodies with feasting.

Strawberry, coconut, matcha latte will be offered as we arrive.

*We will begin with a strong 90 minute yoga flow, to really awaken, our bodies and the radiant rivers of energy within.
We then slow down with an extended guided savasana and breathing meditation.

*Then we will FEAST, expect a nutritionally dense, nourishing delicious banquet, to lovingly nurture you from the inside out.

*After lunch the rest of the day is slow but steady, with Qigong, tai chi, acupressure and breath.

All of these practices combined, will be carefully designed to shift stagnancy, awaken the energy and allow us to really invite into ourselves, the Radiance of Spring.

Spaces will be limited, and this will be an in person only event.

Loads of you wanted the recipe for my morning congee, so here you are!
I’m on a journey of finding ways to rebalance my body during perimenopause, without the use of HRT.
Which to narrow down a massive list of symptoms, for me has looked like chronic fatigue, disturbed sleep, stubborn weight gain and brain fog.
Over the last 2 years I’ve tried a lot of things to try to feel better, but only since beginning to shift with more focus towards living more in the with traditional Chinese medicine, and 5 element theory food therapy in recent months have I noticed a shift.
There are millions of us struggling through this transition of becoming a Queenager, so I want to share the things that help me.
No.1 - is nourishing my spleen with a warm and easy to digest breakfast, I eat this or a version of it most days, on other days it’s steamed eggs, warm poached fruits stirred into chia seed pudding, or if I really don’t have time a warmed berry & nut smoothie….. the key is warm & easy to digest.

My recipe: to serve 1
450ml boiling water
Level tbsp glutinous rice
Level tbsp quinoa
Tsp goji berries
2 jujube dates
5 walnut halves
Tsp-tbsp black sesame seeds
10g Creamed coconut

♦️Goji berries - balancing, liver & kidney nourishing, yin & blood nourishing, excellent for digestion.
♦️Jujube dates - harmonising, soothing, blood nourishing, yin nourishing.
♦️black sesame seeds - Nourishes Liver and Kidney yin, Nourishes blood ,Supports hair health, Moistens intestines
Strengthens overall qi and essence.
♦️walnut - nourishes yin, Walnut is known for its ability to tonify qi,. Sources also say that walnuts help to tonify the kidney, support kidney and lungs, lubricate the intestines.
♦️coconut - nourishes yin & blood, anti parasitic.

It took 3-4 weeks of eating this daily, within an hour of waking, and optimally between 7-9am for me to start noticing a difference, but I really have, better sleep, and improved energy, which for me is the no.1 thing I’m working on.

You will be welcomed into a beautifully tranquil candle lit space, and invited to get cosy comfortable with cushions and blankets.

We will begin our evening by drinking a cup of ceremonial grade cacao, which I will brew with love, intention and pure rose.
We will move softly through ceremony, before laying down and getting super snuggly to be guided through meditation and to receive the exquisite and healing frequencies of sound bathing.

From the moment you arrive, the experience will be soft and sensory, gentle music will fill your ears and the calming scent of aromatherapy will fill the room.
So that beautiful nervous system can begin to unwind from the very minute you walk through the door.

You’ll have nothing to do but be gently guided through 2 hours of softness.

Welcome to
5 ELEMENT FLOW ⭐️✨

I’m really excited to introduce this beautiful class.

Learn Tai Chi flow and Qigong forms, in this soothing and harmonising self care system,
rooted in Daoist practices and principles.

With this graceful moving meditation, we ease tension, calming the mind and body, while simultaneously strengthening balance, joints, muscles tendons, mental clarity & focus.

LEARN A SIMPLE TAI CHI FLOW SEQUENCE
Each class will begin in soothing Breathwork, and meditative Qigong forms before learning our seasonal Tai Chi sequence.

5 ELEMENT THEORY
We learn a new flow for each season, moving with the elements through the lens of Daoist 5 element theory, or ‘Wu Xing’ the 5 phases.
We sooth & strengthen Body, mind and spirit, while aligning with the rhythms of nature and the world around us.

Each season we will learn the basic principles of the relative 5 Element theory to better understand and support our practice.

Classes will be live-streamed and recorded, for those of you who are unable to make it in person or if you simply prefer self paced home learning.
Each participant will receive a recording of the class each week, which will be available for 7 days.
