🏋️‍♂️ From treatment couch to training floor — don’t miss Tristen Attenborough at the STA Conference in Ludlow on Saturday 20th June!

Tristen has walked the path many MSK therapists are starting to consider: he began as a soft tissue therapist and gradually transitioned into working as an exercise therapist — to the point where he’s now built a fully-equipped gym inside his clinic space.

If you’ve ever wondered:
@
🔹 What does the shift from “hands-on” to “load and strengthen” actually look like in practice?
🔹 How do you have that conversation with clients who came in expecting a massage?
🔹 What kit do you actually need — and how do you make it fit a clinic room?
🔹 How does the business model change?

…this talk is going to be unmissable. Tristen brings an MSc in Pain Management and years of evidence-based clinical experience to the question, and he’s lived the transition rather than just theorised about it.

If you have osteoarthritis, you may been told to take it easy, protect the joint, avoid impact, and don't overdo it.

Here's what the research actually says:
Exercise is the single most effective treatment for osteoarthritis.

The joint doesn't wear out faster with use. In fact the opposite is true — cartilage needs load to stay healthy. Movement brings nutrients into the joint. Strength supports and protects it.
You haven't been lied to. But you probably haven't been told the whole truth.

If you have osteoarthritis in the Towcester area and want to know what's actually possible — message me for a free discovery call.

Haven’t assessed a posture in over 10 years.

Why? Because the evidence tells us that:
📄 Posture doesn’t really correlate with pain
📄 People reliably bad at assessing it
📄 The positions of boney ‘landmarks’ we use vary too much in people
📄 We can’t meaningfully change posture

So what causes neck and back pain? Loads of things, occasionally serious, usually not.

Posture assessments are used to justify therapies you probably don’t need.
So if you’re concerned about a pain, get yourself checked.

Otherwise, enjoy being a wonky donkey, we all are! 😁
