Not every uncomfortable feeling needs to be dismissed as “just hormones.” Sometimes it’s worth getting curious and asking yourself what the feeling might be trying to tell you.

When you suddenly feel different in so many ways, it can be easy to assume something has gone wrong, but maybe not every change needs fixing.

Some might be worth listening to.

One of the most unsettling parts of perimenopause can be realising that things you’ve accepted for years don’t feel OK anymore and maybe they deserve your attention.

Sometimes what feels like everything falling apart is actually you becoming more aware of what you need, what matters to you, and what no longer fits.

You don’t have to still want the same things at 48 that you wanted at 28. The beautiful thing about life is that we grow and change and evolve.

When you don’t feel like yourself anymore, it’s tempting to think you need to change everything, but before you do, get curious. Notice what drains you, what lights you up, what you’ve outgrown and when you feel most like you.

You might already be giving yourself clues about what you need next.

You know there’s more for you and you’ve known for a while. The future feels exciting when you think about the trips you want to take, the courses you want to start and the changes you want make but they stay just that, thoughts.

It’s not about discipline or that you’re being lazy, it’s about not yet believing the next chapter is allowed to be yours.

I work with women through exactly this gap, between knowing something and acting on it. Follow along 🤍

It’s natural to miss the woman you used to be but maybe feeling like yourself again doesn’t mean becoming her again.

You get to keep the parts of her you love and let go of what no longer fits to make space for the woman you’re becoming.

No agenda, no where else to be, just being present.

I used to think rest had to be earned, or it had to look like something, now I realise it’s just this, legs moving, no destination, no plan.

If you’ve forgotten what it feels like to belong to yourself for twenty minutes, The Woman You’re Becoming might help you find your way back. Comment GUIDE and I’ll send it over 🤍

There is so much support that exists for the physical side of perimenopause, and so little for the identity shift that so many women experience at the same time. That’s what I focus on, coming back to who you are and how you show up in the world.

Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you my free reflection guide, The Woman You’re Becoming 🤍

Losing yourself isn’t always dramatic, sometimes it looks like saying “I don’t mind” when someone asks what you want or looking at a wardrobe full of clothes and feeling like none of them are you anymore.

Perimenopause can bring all of this to the surface, especially at a stage of life when so many of the roles that have defined us are changing too.

Maybe finding yourself again doesn’t mean going back to who you were, maybe it starts with getting curious about who you are now.
