Let’s talk seasonal shifts 🍂

The darker mornings are here, the evenings are drawing in, and getting out from under the duvet is becoming a wee bit harder.

Maybe you’ve noticed you’re more tempted to head straight home after work, cancel your plans and get cosy on the couch. If that sounds familiar, you’re probably not the only one.

This is often the time when we need to make a few adjustments to our routines. Finding a session that fits, getting outside while it’s still light, or leaving a little more time to wind down in the evening.

It’s also a good time to think about how we’re fuelling ourselves. With less daylight and colder months ahead, are we making time for regular meals and giving our bodies the nourishment they need?

A warm breakfast, a homemade soup or an easy dinner can be a good place to start.

And we’re so lucky to have sports dietitian Kerri | Sports Dietitian & Personal Trainer joining us on the 22nd of October to talk to us all about nutrition, answer your questions and help us understand how we can nourish ourselves a little better this winter to keep up with busy lives and busy training schedules and cut through some of the nutrition noise on your news feed.

Tickets will go live later this week, so keep your eyes peeled.

Our first Reset Week 🔄

We used to call this Retest Week, but this time around we wanted to change things up a little.

Progress isn’t always linear and sometimes life throws other things into the mix. You might have spent the last few months training for your first half or marathon and strength took a bit of a back seat, you might be coming back from an injury or surgery, or maybe your goals just look a little different now.

So this week isn’t all about testing and chasing numbers.

You can test, you can train, or you can just spend a bit more time practising something you want to get better at.

It’s really just a chance for us to see where we are, notice some of the progress that’s happened along the way and get ready for our next block of training.

Building strong bodies for life 💙

Sometimes we just need a wee reset 🔄

Not starting again.
Not changing everything.
And definitely not putting more pressure on ourselves.
Sometimes it’s just about taking a minute to check in.

With so much noise around training, nutrition, steps, PBs, programmes and what we should be doing, it’s really easy to lose sight of what we actually want from our training.

That’s what Reset Week is about.

We’ve given our old retest Week a wee revamp. There will still be the chance to revisit some numbers, movements and previous benchmarks if you want to but there’s absolutely no pressure to test or hit a PB.

Instead, we want you to use the week to check in, refocus and simplify things a little.

Maybe you want to get stronger at something.
Maybe you want to feel fitter.
Maybe you want to get a little more consistent.
Or maybe your goal right now is simply to keep turning up.

And sometimes, like reaching 100 sessions, the best progress isn’t one big number at all. It’s all those ordinary sessions adding up over time 💙

Reset. Refocus. Then keep going.
