Wiltshire: home of white horses, beautiful countryside, historic market towns... and two nurses who spend a surprising amount of time driving between them all helping people with their ear wax! 🚗

As a mobile service, our work takes us all over the county. One day we're in Trowbridge, the next we're in Bradford on Avon, Westbury, Melksham or a tiny village tucked between rolling green fields.

We get to meet wonderful people, enjoy some spectacular views and occasionally discover roads that sat navs really shouldn't recommend.

Soon we'll have a new clinic base in Westbury (more on that very soon!), but we'll still be out and about across Wiltshire, bringing ear wax removal services directly to people's homes.

After all, home visits are where it all began.

📣 We have some exciting news!

From July, you'll be able to choose how you see us for your ear wax removal appointment.

As well as our mobile service across Wiltshire, we'll be opening a new clinic at White Horse Health Centre in Westbury every Thursday.

That means you'll have two options:
🏠 We can visit you at home
👂 Or you can come and see us in clinic

Our new clinic space is based within the GP surgery, making it easy to fit an appointment around your day. Whether you're already visiting the surgery, popping in on your lunch break or simply prefer coming to us, the choice is yours.

And don't worry, if getting out and about is difficult, or you'd simply rather be seen at home, our mobile service isn't going anywhere.

We'll be opening bookings for the clinic very soon, so make sure you're following us to hear more about what we have planned.

One thing that surprises a lot of people about ear wax removal appointments...

You're in charge! Not us.

We'll recommend the most suitable treatment, but we'll always explain your options and answer any questions before we begin.

Fancy seeing inside your own ear canal on the camera? We'd be happy to show you.

Want to see what we've removed afterwards? Plenty of people do!

Rather not? That's completely fine too.

Everyone is different, and we believe your appointment should be tailored to what makes you feel comfortable.

After all, they're your ears. 👂

We hear this a lot:

“You two make a great team.”

And honestly, working side-by-side is one of the things we love most about what we do.

We’ve worked together in some pretty high-pressure situations over the years, so we know each other inside out. Sometimes it only takes a look to know what the other’s thinking.

We’re honest with each other, we have the awkward conversations when we need to, and we don’t take things personally.

There’s a lot of support, a lot of laughter, and plenty of chats (and snacks!) in the car between appointments.

Running a business together isn’t always easy, but when you really like and respect each other, it makes all the difference 💙

Happy Half Term! 🌞

We’ve had a lovely weekend eating pizza and splashing about in the paddling pool with the grandkids!

If you come back from holiday with blocked ears from the flight, spend a little too long underwater at the swimming pool, or your ears just decide to cause trouble this week… we’re here to help.

We're caring, qualified nurses who come to treat you in the comfort of your own home.

We still have some half term appointments available and can treat children as young as six, so just get in touch to book 😊

The short answer = it can contribute to that blocked feeling.

Hay fever causes inflammation in your nose and sinuses, which can also affect the Eustachian tubes (the small passages that help regulate pressure in your ears). When they’re not working as well, your ears can feel full or blocked.

And if there’s already some ear wax present, those symptoms can feel more noticeable, like muffled hearing or a sense of pressure.

If your ears have been feeling “not quite right” lately, it might be a combination of both.

We’re always happy to take a look and talk things through if you're experiencing ear symptoms.

Out and about at Claremont Residential Home earlier this month 💙

We always enjoy these visits, not just because we get to help multiple residents in one go, but because the difference ear care can make is often immediate.

As we get older, ear wax can build up more easily due to changes in the ear and the use of hearing aids.

A simple appointment can make a big difference to hearing, comfort and day-to-day life.

We’re proud to offer a mobile, CQC-registered service, bringing professional ear care directly into care homes across the area.

👂 Before we come to see you, there’s one question we’ll always ask…

“Have you been using oil?”

Softening the wax beforehand helps us remove it more easily, which means a quicker, more comfortable appointment for you.

If you’ve got time before your visit, here's what we recommend…
💧 A few drops of olive oil
📅 For 4–7 days beforehand
⏰ Twice a day (or just at night if you wear hearing aids)

Just lie on your side, pop a drop in, and give it 10 minutes to work its magic. There's no need to heat it beforehand. And if you want to make it even easier - try Earol's handy little spray bottle.

What actually happens at an appointment? 👂
Lots of people feel a bit nervous about earwax removal. So here’s a little peek at what to expect.

We’ll come to your home, have a quick chat, take a look inside your ears and gently talk you through what’s going on. You’ll always be involved in the decision and we’ll make sure you feel comfortable every step of the way.

It’s calm, professional care from fully qualified nurses and it all happens in the comfort of your own home.

If your child keeps saying “what?”, blocked ears could be the reason.

Children can experience blocked ears just like adults. And sometimes it can be hard for them to explain what's wrong.

Your child's ear canals are smaller and so wax build-up can sometimes cause muffled hearing, discomfort, irritation, or a feeling of fullness.

We're two professionally trained nurses. We offer gentle ear wax removal for children aged 6+, in the safety and comfort of your home.

If you think blocked ears might be affecting your child, we’re here to help.
