1ST PLACE — NEO-TRADITIONAL 🏆

Absolutely buzzing to have taken 1st place Neo-Traditional at the Big Tattoo Burn Up in Exeter!

From the moment Nath messaged me asking for a dart-playing T-Rex, I knew I could have some fun with this one. I really pushed myself out of my comfort zone with the colour palette, bringing in some 80s Bullseye inspired pastels.

Around 14 hours of tattooing went into this one and I genuinely loved every minute of it.

A massive thank for giving me the freedom to run with it and sitting like an absolute champ across the weekend. Also thanks to the organisers who put in a great show and everyone who stopped by my booth for a chat 🙏

1st Place Avant-Garde + Best in Show Runner Up at Cornwall Tattoo Convention!

What a weekend.

Saturday was spent creating the Cthulhu piece for Sam and I’m really proud of how this one came together. Huge thanks for trusting me to do my thing 🙏🏻

Then on Sunday put my spin on a Heikegani crab for Nathan. To come away with 1st Place Avant-Garde is incredible, but having the same piece called back for Best in Show and taking Runner Up means a lot 🥹

Huge thanks as well to everyone behind Cornwall Tattoo Convention and the judges as well as everyone who stopped by the booth, came over for a chat or had something kind to say about the work over the weekend.

And it was pretty special seeing so many of the big awards staying here in Cornwall this year 🌊🏆

Absolutely shattered, but very happy.

Despite the name, Sphynx cats aren’t actually from Egypt… they originated in Canada in the 1960s 🇨🇦🐈‍⬛

This slightly more intimidating specimen was completed in one day session. Big, bold and a lot of fun to put together.

So… Sphynx cats: cute or creepy? 👀

Really excited to be returning to Cornwall Tattoo Convention this August!

I’m a Cornwall-based tattoo artist specialising in bold, colourful neo-traditional work, working from my private studio in Truro. I’ll be tattooing across the weekend and I’m looking forward to a brilliant few days surrounded by some incredible artists, collectors and familiar faces.
