We’re pleased to be becoming more active here again after a very busy period supporting children, young people and adults across Cornwall, Devon and the South West.

At Cornwall Autism and Neurodevelopment, we provide private Autism, ADHD and neurodevelopmental assessments delivered by an experienced multidisciplinary team. Our focus is on clear, evidence-based understanding of each individual, along with practical recommendations to support next steps.

We know that seeking an assessment can feel like a big step, and we aim to make the process as clear, supportive and collaborative as possible, including liaising with schools and employers, and signposting to appropriate local supports such as local authority services, charities, and trusted private partners where helpful.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more about our team, what to expect from assessment, and helpful neurodevelopmental information and resources.

We are now called CAN - Cornwall Autism and Neurodevelopment!
We offer more than autism assessments and want our name to reflect the range of work we undertake; the different professionals who are part of our team; and importantly celebrate the unique perspectives, talents, and strengths of the neurodivergent community.

We have the great privilege of being able to call upon the knowledge and skills of Health Professionals including a Clinical Psychologist, Practitioner Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and a Mental Health Nurse which means we are able to provide truly holistic autism and neurodevelopmental assessments for the individuals and families we meet.

Here is a photo montage of our multidisciplinary team of lovely and hugely experienced clinicians. I am sorry we don't post on social media often, but we are still here, working hard for our valued clients.

Hello there!

We wanted to quickly introduce ourselves to you - Cornwall Autism are a small but dedicated team of clinicians made up of a Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Mental Health nurse and Clinical Psychologist. We are highly experienced specialists in ASD diagnosis and have many (many!) years working in this field within the NHS in Cornwall and beyond.

Providing thorough and considered private autism assessments, signposting families to appropriate supports and local services, and celebrating the unique wonder of every child and young person we meet is our goal.
