Sometimes it’s worth taking a closer look at what’s going on inside.

Our Upper Abdominal Ultrasound Scan for Men is a detailed 30-minute scan designed to assess several important abdominal organs and structures — giving you a clearer picture of what’s happening inside.

The scan looks at your:

🟢 Gall bladder
🟢 Biliary system
🟢 Pancreas
🟢 Liver
🟢 Both kidneys
🟢 Spleen
🟢 Aorta

It can commonly be used to look for things such as gallstones and polyps, assess the liver and examine the kidneys.

👨 Available for men aged 16+
⏱️ 30-minute appointment
💷 £120

And you won't be left waiting for your results. Your Sonographer report is provided at the time of your appointment, with a Medical Follow-Up Recommendation if necessary.

Plus, using our secure cloud technology, your scan images and report can be sent directly to your mobile phone in seconds, alongside your written report to take away with you.

Please note: 6 hours fasting is required before your appointment (clear fluids including black tea or coffee are permitted). Diabetics should maintain their usual food intake but avoid fatty or dairy products. Normal medication should be continued. All ultrasound scans are optional. If you have an existing medical condition or treatment relating to the area being scanned, or are unsure whether a scan is appropriate for you, please consult your GP.

Your reassurance matters 🤍

When you’re worried about your health, waiting weeks for an ultrasound appointment can add unnecessary stress and uncertainty.

At Cornwall Ultrasound, we understand that sometimes you simply need answers sooner. Private ultrasound gives you the opportunity to be seen at a time that suits you, without the long waits often associated with routine appointments.

We’re proud to be one of the few ultrasound services across Cornwall and the wider South West offering same-week appointments — and, where possible, same-day appointments too. For many people, that accessibility can make a real difference when they’re concerned and don’t want to be left wondering.

Our Thursday clinic tomorrow is now all but full, and Saturday is also filling quickly.

We do still have some availability on Friday, although from previous experience, these appointments tend to go quickly.
