🌿 We’re looking for Cornish primary schools to join a fully funded 12-month *Mindful Schools Initiative* in partnership with Cornwall Council Educational Psychology Service

This pilot programme is designed to support the wellbeing of both staff and pupils through evidence-based mindfulness training, ongoing support, and reflective practice across the school year.

Participating schools will receive:

✨ 12 months of fully funded mindfulness training and support for staff
✨ Staff mindfulness training delivered by a fully BAMBA accredited mindfulness teacher
✨ Ongoing guidance and consultation throughout the year
✨ Psychologist led exploration of the impact on staff wellbeing and pupil outcomes
✨ An opportunity to help shape an emerging model for schools in Cornwall

We are looking for schools who feel genuinely able to commit to the full 12 months and engage wholeheartedly with the process. It’s an opportunity to embed sustainable wellbeing practices within school culture over time and to truly impact the central nervous system of the whole school.

If your school is curious about being part of the pilot, we’d love to hear from you.

There’s a particular kind of exhaustion that comes from holding everything together.

From being the one who keeps things going.
Who remembers, organises, supports, copes.

And yet inside… it can feel relentless.

Busy thoughts.
Low energy.
A sense that you’re never quite able to rest, even when you stop.

But it isn’t a personal failing.
It’s how the mind works when it’s under pressure.

Mindfulness isn’t about switching everything off or becoming a different person.
It’s about learning how to relate to your experience in a different way.

More space.
More steadiness.
More choice.

✨ You don’t have to do it alone

This online retreat provides a wonderful opportunity to practice in a supported and sustained way within community whilst taking practice into the heart of one’s home environment.

Spread over six days, you'll explore the classical Buddhist “four ways of establishing mindfulness” alongside four heart qualities: friendliness, compassion, appreciative joy, and equanimity.

Mindfulness teachers wishing to be listed on the British Association of Mindfulness-Based ApproachesTeacher Directory can attend this retreat to fulfil their annual retreat requirement.

Perhaps you’ve finished a mindfulness course…
and noticed how easy it is for practice to quietly fade as life fills up again.

You’re not alone in that.

Mindfulness is something we come back to, gently and imperfectly, over time. And it can feel so much easier to do that alongside others.

This Evening Sitting Group offers a calm, steady space to pause at the end of the day and reconnect with your practice — however it is right now.

The group is held by a trained mindfulness teacher, creating a safe and supportive environment where there’s no pressure to be or do anything in a particular way. You’re simply invited to arrive as you are.

A place to sit.
To breathe.
To begin again.

You’d be very welcome 💛

Menopause can feel like everything is shifting—your sleep, your mood, your energy, even your sense of self.

You might notice your mind feels busier, emotions closer to the surface, or that you’re more easily overwhelmed. You’re not alone in this 🤍

Mindfulness won’t take these experiences away—but it can gently change how you relate to them. It can help you feel steadier, calmer, and more able to meet each moment with kindness and clarity.

We’re offering a 3-week online “Introducing Mindfulness” course, created by the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation—an evidence-based, accessible introduction designed for real life (especially if you’re short on time).

đź—“ Dates:
23rd April | 7–8pm
30th April | 7–8pm
7th May | 7–8pm

đź’» Online via Zoom (join from the comfort of your own space)

Over 3 gentle sessions, we’ll explore:
• How to work with a busy, wandering mind
• New ways of relating to thoughts and emotions
• Simple practices to support calm, clarity and self-compassion

This course is especially for you if you’re:
✨ navigating menopause and feeling overwhelmed
✨ struggling with sleep, stress, or mood changes
✨ curious about mindfulness but not sure where to start

A small, supportive space to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.

Concessionary rates available to keep this accessible 🤍

If this feels like something you need right now, you’re very welcome to join us.

Poetry can reach places other words cannot.

Here is an extract from Mary Oliver’s The Summer Day narrated by Laura. The photos were all taken today during a mindful stroll in the beautiful Cornish countryside. Stopping and pausing to really see what was there 🧡
