Deep acne scarring can be one of the more stubborn skin concerns to treat, and CO2 laser is one of the most effective options we offer for it. It works by removing damaged outer layers of skin while stimulating deep collagen renewal underneath, helping to soften and smooth the appearance of scarring as the skin heals.

Is NeoGen painful? It’s one of the questions we get asked most, and we completely understand why!

NeoGen works using thermal energy, so you will feel the heat during treatment. Whilst we wouldn’t necessarily say this is ‘painful’, it can be uncomfortable, especially in more delicate areas like under the eyes and the lips. Don’t panic if you have a lower pain threshold! We can apply a topical numbing cream beforehand to help keep you comfortable throughout.

Everyone’s comfort levels are different, which is why we’ll talk it through with you at your consultation and make sure you feel fully at ease before we begin. We’re in no rush, so can always take a break during too if you need.
