That’s the truth of it. Sometimes, a treatment doesn’t work. Or at least, not in the way you might have expected. And here’s why that’s absolutely okay.
First, let’s start by stating one clear fact.
No individual treatment works for everyone.
I don’t care whether you are talking about holistic treatments, physical therapies, counselling, prescription medicines or surgery.
Every single intervention ever invented to improve health and wellness has a ‘failure rate’.
Every approach to improving health and wellbeing has…
People who benefit greatly
People who notice little or no change
People who experience unwanted side effects
People for whom it simply isn’t the right fit
And it’s all okay because… every time you try a treatment or intervention that doesn’t work for you, you are one step closer to finding one that does.
My clients often come to see me (for Zone Technique, massage and even my facials) when they’re at their wits end.
When they’ve tried everything, but nothing is working.
They’ve been through standard medical investigations and procedures, tried multiple medications, had surgeries, visited chiropractors, physios, acupuncturists, kinesiologists, reflexologists and more.
Each time, growing more and more frustrated at the lack of results.
Does that mean that those interventions, medicines and practitioners are ineffective?
No! Many of them will undoubtedly have a long list of happy clients!
It simply means they haven’t found the right fit… yet.
Maybe that next step is with me. Maybe it isn’t.
And that’s okay too.
But if you’re feeling exhausted by dead ends, don’t mistake ‘nothing is working for me’ for ‘nothing will ever work for me’
Healing is rarely a straight line. Sometimes it’s a process of ruling things out until you discover what your body has been asking for all along.
If you’re curious about whether my approach could be the right fit for you, I’d love to help you explore the options.
And if, after working together, we discover it isn’t, that’s okay too.
Every step teaches us something valuable and ultimately brings you closer to the answers you’re looking for.
The important thing is not to stop looking for them.
