This evening, members of St John Ambulance West Cornwall Network are delighted to be providing first aid cover for the Truro Choral Society’s performance of Darkness to Light at Truro Cathedral.

We are pleased to be joined by colleagues from the East Cornwall Network, working together to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone attending this wonderful event featuring the beautiful Requiems by John Rutter and Gabriel Fauré.

A big thank you to all our volunteers giving their time to keep the audience, performers and staff safe.

Last week, St John Ambulance celebrated the 40th anniversary of its National Cadet of the Year competition and this milestone was marked at a special event attended by HRH The Princess Royal, St John Ambulance's Commandant-in-Chief - Youth.
Oscar, our County Cadet, had the privilege of attending this occasion and spoke to HRH The Princess Royal.
Oscar is leading the way in demonstrating exceptional commitment to learning lifesaving skills and serving his community. We hope his example will inspire others to volunteer and become part of a team at the very heart of their community.

What an amazing day! Oscar was a fantastic representative for Cornwall and spoke to Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal during the reception.
It was lovely to have the opportunity to visit the Museum of the Order of St John and soak up the history of our organisation.
Friendships were formed and it was great to see cadets from all over the country gather together.
