Bus trip to a local gem.💎 💒

Our residents requested a visit
to All Saints Church in Tudeley. This is the only church in the world with all 12 stained-glass windows designed by Marc Chagall. 🎨✨

We spent a peaceful afternoon soaking in the incredible history, sharing stories and enjoying the beauty of the colours. 🤔

It was a deeply moving and memorable day out! 🙏

🧵Apron Making Fun!🧵

Our residents enjoyed getting creative in the Domestic Science lesson making aprons.✂️
They chose their pattern,fabric and finishing tape before carefully stitching their creations. 🪡
There was lots of concentration, chatting and reminiscing about how much fun sewing can be - especially when it’s purposeful.
Thanks to our amazing teaching assistants for their encouragement and support. They were fantastic. 🌟

A wonderful session filled with friendship and a great sense of achievement.❤️

Birkin’s Got Talent!

We set out to explore the works of Shakespeare and, discovered a troupe of Thespians in our midst. Expressive performances and plenty of character
with just the right amount of theatrical flair.🎬👏

🌞 Summertime and the living is easy 🎶

We had our feet tapping, toes wiggling and smiles all around to the sounds of Giselle. ☺️
Some enjoyed scones, others enjoyed figs, while a few sat back and let the music do all the work! 😀🎤

📸 Capturing Memories on World Photography Day!

We asked our wonderful residents to share a photo of a special memory, the stories were truly priceless.💖

🎭 Barbara delighted us with a photo of a painting from her stardom days, playing Mistress Woodcock in an amateur dramatics club when she was just 10 years old!

🇳🇿Anne had a lovely dilemma-she couldn’t decide which photo to pick from her calendar featuring her two handsome great-grandsons over in New Zealand.

🏡 Ron shared a proud milestone describing the first house he saved up so hard to buy along the beautiful River Medway.

🎨 Mary couldn’t track down her hiking photo in the Lake District but she brought along a stunning painting , she painted while she was there instead.

🚢 Brian had us all ready to pack our bags as he shared exhilarating moments of his cruise to Ireland. Alive, alive oh 🎶

How lucky are we to be surrounded by such vibrant personalities every single day!❤️

🍃When a leaf becomes a masterpiece! 🎨

Our residents were handed a leaf from the catalpa tree and invited to create a botanical drawing. Sounds simple….but one catch - the size of the leaf.🤣
There was much conversation and careful observation before lifting the pencil. ✏️
Then some opted to take things a step further and called for paint brushes and shades of green. 👩‍🎨
