I wanted to attach pictures of the other three cabinets to my earlier text posting, but I couldn't make it work, so I'll try to add photos here. The lovely artwork ("Town Mouse and Country Mouse") by Louise Dean and Sophie Cook is on on Mount Pleasant Road outside Côte; Meikie Knappert's soaring swallows ("Reach for the Skies") is on Monson Road next to The Ameiia; and on Victoria Road by the entrance to the RVP car park you'll find the stunning "The Hard Edge and the Curve" by Sue Vass. All added to Elaine Thompson's "Cunning Tricks" on Church Road. Bravo to all the artists!!

Another decorated cabinet soon to be revealed! Well done artist Elaine Thompson working on Church Road close to the Trinity Theatre. ‘Cunning Tricks’ catches pouncing fox and swooping owl in full flight. A sneak preview here!

Hurry! Hurry! Along to the Pantiles and the Royal Tunbridge Wells Art Society's showrooms. There's a super exhbition of works by Wiesbaden artists from the Künstlergruppe 50 and brought to Tunbridge Wells by the Tunbridge Wells Twinning and Friendship Association. Open every day between 10 and 4 but only until this coming Sunday.

Travellers from Tunbridge Wells railway station will be pleased to note that the Chris Burke murals have been re-installed. They had been removed to prevent damage during restoration work to the bridge. Many of us, however, had feared they had gone the way of the original Brian Barnes murals painted in the summer of 1989 and destroyed in 2016.
The Chris Burke murals were originally installed in 2017 and were the result of a Refresh led a project. I am informed that station staff are very proud of the artwork and have the panels washed down once a week.
For Refresh followers who have not recently been to the station here are a few photos, before and after.

If you venture out to the St John's Park and Meadows, you'll see that the project to restore the Joseph Love Fountain has finally been completed. An opening ceremony was held last summer to mark the occasion. The project was made possible by a £10,000 Section 106 allocation and more than five years of co-operation between the TWBC Parks Department, The Friends of the Park and Refresh Tunbridge Wells. We are now looking forward to the spring flowers.
We also hope someone might come forward with a plan to transform the mutilated great cedar into an additional work of art.

Just back from a late afternoon visit to Dunorlan Amazing, the fountain was working! And the rills and cascade have been freed of weeds and bushes.

Have you been lately to Royal Victoria Place? Seen the Bottle Filling Station on the first floor in the passage way down the side of Burrell's? Not beautiful, but multipurpose: it fills your bottle with tap water (free) or chilled filtered water (for a small charge), and also dispenses new reusable bottles. All part of the RVP refurbishment. Great for customers and staff!
