POV: You ignore the doubts and build the dream anyway... A luxury wellness studio in the heart of North Shields.

For every time I doubted myself, talked myself out of it, or wondered whether it was really possible…
This is the reminder that sometimes the dream keeps calling for a reason. 💭

This week I revealed The Studio for Peace of Mind to my community for the very first time, and the reaction was everything!

The joy, the support, the emotion, the excitement - I don’t think I’ll ever forget it. ❤️

Because this was created with you all in mind; a tranquil wellness studio in the heart of North Shields. A space to breathe, connect and restore.

For every person who has supported, encouraged, booked a class, shared a kind word, stepped into the room, or believed in the vision before the doors had even fully opened…

Can you welcome pain and see it as positive? 🤔

The older I get the more I see pain as inevitable for the growth, the strength and positive outcome I desire. We can't have one without the other.

I find myself circling back to where this meditation journey all began aged 16 and hearing the Buddha's words 'life is suffering'.

It's interesting how often we try and avoid the very thing that is inevitable, that helps us grow.

Before Peace of Mind feels peaceful, there’s been a whole lot of chaos! …

This week has been FULL! 🤍
Cleaning. Packing. Unpacking. Moving studios. Furnishing. Decorating. Overseeing new signs. Copywriting. Recording. Editing. Painting. Leaflet dropping to my new neighbours. Clearing. Sorting. Unexpected childcare. Making endless little decisions.

And gently reminding myself to breathe through the messy middle! Taking micro-moments to recharge where possible.

There’s still more to do, and I’m waiting for listed building consent before I can paint the outside wall.... but piece by piece, this new space is becoming The Studio for Peace of Mind.

A place to breathe, connect and restore.✨️

Ever wondered what actually happens inside one of our meditation sessions? 🌿

Each 75-minute class is thoughtfully designed to help you arrive, settle, learn, practise, reflect and gently integrate, without feeling rushed.

Over the past 5 years, the flow and content of these sessions has continued to evolve and grow, just as I have.

We now blend:

🤍 Functional breathwork (for 'bottom-up' nervous system support, awareness and grounding).

🤍 Reflection prompts to ponder, journal or discuss - whatever feels natural to you. This encourages positive action to support your needs, aligned with the awareness built in sessions.

🤍 Science-backed insights to deepen your knowledge and understanding of the tools and theme and how they support your daily life. This also increases motivation and confidence.

🤍 A bespoke 20-minute guided meditation created and guided by me, Frankie. With over 26 years of practise and experience in a range of styles; each week is unique.

I continue to bring together my training, knowledge and lived experience to create sessions that feel calm, supportive and effective.

Which of these is stopping you? 🤔

They might just be the very reasons you need this.

A busy mind doesn’t mean you can’t meditate. It means your brain has practised distraction, doing and thinking ahead.

Whatever we repeat we become good at. 🧠

Meditation helps you practise focus, without forcing the mind to be quiet (yes, even if you have ADHD - especially if you have ADHD!)

The thoughts may still be there, but you learn to come back. To your breath, to your body, to yourself.

Meditation is a practice, but where it lands - is everywhere in your life ✨

How much of your life are you living in places that don’t exist? ✨️

The future we’re afraid of, the past we keep replaying, the version of ourselves we think we should be. 💭

But your life is only ever happening here, in this very moment.

And that's all life is; a series of breaths, of moments - one after the other until we are no-longer here. If we aren't actually present with them, with the moment while it exists, are we even fully living? 🤔

Meditation and functional breathwork teaches us to connect to the breath, to the present-moment, to the experience of reality and detach from the mind chatter that we mistake for the truth.

So join us to breathe, to be and to connect to the only moment that exists ...
