Just a reminder of some of the treats in store alongside our CPD enrichment Kawa sessions ( our ‘driftwood’):

✅Yoga includes meditation and relaxation and is tailored to our theme. Hopefully Tai Chi

✅inclusive - our Affinity group ( if you are neurodivergent ) is now open to any attendee. We will adapt activities - just let us know

This is a ‘not for profit’ highly experiential immersive Retreat that is different from other types of learning , taking place in a beautiful nature setting . It does extend into evenings as you wish . It focusses on our ‘well-being’ first. It’s a gift we can chose to give ourselves and so important in our frantically paced, ever changed world where we are constantly caring for others.

📣 We have reached capacity for this years Retreat and have a lovely varied group including students and 2 male attendees ! The excitement is building as we enter planning stages with our team : Amy Boot, Angela Smith, Danielle Huyhnot, Emma Hickson, Sarah Cowlishaw , Me ( Wendy Allonby)and Di ( Yoga)

Just a lovely week in nature. … A glimpse of what we will do at ‘The OT Flow Retreat’ in September .. driftwood that is available to us all, regardless of how we may be feeling, ways to strengthen our banks, help our river to flow .

Nature and walking are my greatest healers and although my mind is buzzing , I’ve enjoyed so many moments of feeling true connection.

Curiosity , wonder and gratitude are ‘by products ‘ of mindfulness practice rather than the goal of ‘present moment awareness’ . Paying attention on purpose invariably gets me reaching for my phone, whether it’s to check out a bird song, plant or take a photo . It’s a great way of expanding perspective , gaining a new angle or viewpoint and learning .
Not forgetting that mindfulness is also about being able to ‘be’ with whatever is and alongside this, to take valued action - what a beautiful fit with OT, where the ‘doing’ is actually restful ‘being’ , self kindness. . and that’s why I set up the OT Retreat, we ALL experience life transitions, challenges at work or home and together we are stronger 👥
