Flu rates and hospitilisations are rising sharply. This highlights the importance of preventative measures for all age groups, regardless of health status. The single, most effective intervention to curb this trend is to embrace the opportunity to vaccinate! Whether you are in an 'at-risk' group or you just wish to protect your friends & family members, every vaccination will help protect us, our loved ones and the NHS.

Buxted pharmacy offers both private and NHS flu vaccinations. Please call us or enquire at the counter.

The number of people with flu in hospital has quadrupled in the last month, the latest data shows.

💊 Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) occurs when bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites no longer respond to antimicrobial agents as a result of drug resistance. One of the causes of AMR is over-prescribing and inappropriate use of antibiotics. We all have a role to play in preserving the effectiveness of these critical medicines -

* Never Share or use leftover antibiotics
* Only take antibiotics as prescribed.
* Not all infections require antibiotics (e.g. coughs & colds are normally as a result of viruses, which do not respond to antibiotics)
* Prevention is better than cure - observe good hand-hygeine and ensure you are up to date with seasonal/eligible vaccinations
