Last week was full of music, singing and dancing at our Community Cafes! At our Uckfield Cafe on Tuesday we were joined by the amazing Tilsmore Duo, as well as a A Touch Of Gentleness for relaxing hand massages. On Thursday at the Cross in Hand Cafe we had the fantastic Maxine singing for us. As you can see with both sessions people just couldn't resist having a dance and sing-a-long!

This week our Cafe schedule is as follows:

Buxted Cafe - Tues 10am-Noon, St Mary's Church Hall - has Vanessa singing for us

Uckfield Cafe - Tues 1.30 - 3.30pm, the Tearoom at Victoria Pavilion - has an inclusive exercise session with Happiness In Motion East Sussex

Cross in Hand Cafe - Thurs 1.30 - 3.30pm, St Bartholomew's Church Hall - has an inclusive art session run by Dementia Singing Experience, Sussex

This week is Carers Week

Here at Sussex Support Service we are committed to supporting all members of the family, including family carers. We welcome carers to our Community Cafes and offer free carer spaces to our entertainment sessions at Victoria Pavilion and Age We Care when accompanying your loved one. We are here to listen, support and signpost to specialist services. If you are a carer looking for support, or just a chat, please get in touch with one of our staff.

We also share Victoria Pavilion with Care for the Carers, the charity that supports carers across East Sussex. They offers service to carers, from 5 years old upwards. At Victoria Pavilion they offer support groups, fun and social activities and counselling for carers. To find out more you can visit their website www.cftc.org.uk
