Helping you restore motivation, confidence, and balance in your health, habits and relationships. 121 In-Person in Colchester, on zoom or through online courses My Story:-

Essentially, my story is the reason why I have changed career and became a therapist. I worked in financial services for a little under 15 years and had my own small but reasonably successful business. This was incredibly stres

sful and coupled with several romantic break-ups, I developed symptoms of anxiety and depression; and ultimately suicidal thoughts. In a relatively short space of time, I had completely changed from someone that was able to deal with running a business, stressful situations, and the pressures of modern life easily; to simply not being able to cope. I sought professional help and I was able to see the real and immeasurable benefit of talking about my thoughts, my feelings, and my emotional state with an empathetic professional individual. This process ignited a passion in me to help others that are experiencing challenges and I decided that I would retrain, change my career, and find a firm to take over my business as I believe that this is my calling. That my experiences, and more recently, my extensive professional training can be used to help others. I work with clients across a wide range of issues and challenges. I spend time with my clients to get a deep understanding of what their challenges are, and what they are looking to achieve. With the therapy that I provide; we look back to see how these problems have arisen, and equally importantly, to look at how they want their life to be once we have successfully worked together. The main issues that I work with clients on are:-

Stress
Anxiety
Depression
Suicidal thoughts
Insomnia

I am also experienced to work with clients to help with:-

Stopping smoking
Weight control
Alcohol/substance misuse
Confidence
Self-esteem
Relationship issues or breakdown
Fears and Phobias
Fibromyalgia
Chronic pain management
Trauma / PTSD
Mindfulness
Meditation

How do I help? I wholeheartedly believe that therapy is a collaborative process and there is no-size, fits-all approach. My training is focussed on hypnotherapy; however, it covers a range of “talking-therapy” approaches, including personal/life coaching, NLP techniques, mindfulness, and meditation. In working closely together with my clients, together we develop a programme of therapy that best suits their needs, aims, and objectives. Hypnotherapy is an incredibly powerful therapeutic technique which helps to you make changes at the deepest parts of your subconscious mind. It is a deeply relaxing, daydream-like experience in which you remain totally in control and aware throughout. I offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation to discuss the area(s) that you would like to work on. I offer (up-to) 2 hour intensive sessions that ordinarily includes a completely personalised hypnotherapy experience which is initially priced at £125.00 per session. Most commonly, I book clients in for a course of 4 x 2hour sessions, as this works out better value overall and it also gives us the time that is necessary to explore and discuss the challenges that you would to work on. Many of my clients start to experience benefits and changes after just one session. However, for the purposes of an example, a smoking cessation programme is 2 or 3 sessions on average; which for an average smoker is less than they spend on cigarettes in a month! If you have any questions, please do message me or feel free to call on 01206 752108, or 07900 366780 anytime. If I am with other clients, I will get back to you as soon as possible.

My quest to get my name read out BBC Radio 6 Music by my fellow Craig (Craig Charles) continues…

Actually got it right today. Evidence in comments

Then he played “sing it back” by Moloko, which is one of my all time faves. I thought it was a sign!

So it begins…

There are 123 more “sleeps” until 02 January 2027.

If you or anyone you know is disturbed by this image, I have set up a helpline - it’s my phone number. Message for info.

To the rest of you - Seasons greetings and glad tidings to one and all, and if I don’t see you before… [on 01 September, new record]

Someone asked me what I do for a living:-

I bring total strangers in to my home, ask them extremely personal questions, often making them cry, having taken money from them.

I ignore said-strangers if I see them in public.

That’s about it really.

Other than my occasional nonsense that I post on here, I have been pretty quiet on social media recently.

I have been working on something.

Actually, I have been working on it.... a lot.

It started with a fairly simple idea:

What if, instead of giving people more advice about what they should do, we could help them understand why they feel, think and respond the way they do in the first place?

So, a question...

Have you ever found yourself asking:

Why can’t I just switch off?

Why do I feel so drained?

Why is changing my relationship with food so difficult?

Why does everything seem to take so much out of me?

Why do I feel so different from how I used to?

Why am I still affected by things I thought I had moved past?

Why can I focus sometimes, but struggle so much at others?

Why do some relationships affect me so much?

Why do I feel stuck when I know I want something to change?

What am I actually looking for when I reach for a drink?

If you've asked yourself one of those questions, there's usually a lot more going on underneath it than the question itself suggests.

That's what I've been working on.

More soon.

How's your day going?

A man just knocked on my door, looking for his friend and tells me his friend is called Craig.

I said, "my name is Craig."
He said, "but you're not my friend - Craig."
I said "I know".

He then takes out his phone, and showed me the address that he was after.

The address is for my neighbour a few doors down - whom is also called Craig. And he is also therapist.

Right now, there are THREE people called Craig in the CO4 5BU postcode area.

Which I believe is a record/sign of the forthcoming apocalypse.
