Wirral Carers Alliance Wirral Carers Alliance is a collaborative network championing the voice of unpaid carers across Wirral.

We work in partnership with carers, the NHS, Wirral Council, and community organisations to shape carer-friendly policies and improve support systems. We are Wirral Carers Alliance, a group of Carers working in collaboration with Wirral Council, the NHS, Healthwatch Wirral and multiple carer support organisations to ensure Carers Voices are included in the changes to services and improving the support available to Unpaid Carers on Wirral.

Mayor’s Tea Dance

A welcoming afternoon of music, dancing and community spirit

Join us for the Mayor’s Tea Dance at Wallasey Town Hall, a warm and welcoming afternoon bringing people together through music, dancing, tea and conversation.

This special event is an opportunity to meet the Mayor, celebrate community spirit and enjoy good company.

Ballroom Blitz, live music, refreshments and friendly faces, the Mayor’s Tea Dance promises an uplifting afternoon of connection, celebration and civic pride.

Wirral Carers Alliance is donating a number of FREE tickets for Carers.
These FREE tickets are limited now, please email by Wednesday 9th September to request yours.

Tickets for Family & Friends who wish to attend are £10 each, all proceeds go to the Mayor’s Special Charity.
We would love to welcome your loved ones that you care for so we can all enjoy an afternoon together.

IntraHealth provide School Age Immunisations on behalf of the NHS and support is available to Parents and Carers to go through the vaccinations they offer, and how to access the service.

IntraHealth offer vaccines to secondary school pupils, but are going to be delivering flu vaccines from September, and this is from Reception to year 11.

There are also some new resources for parents of SEN children and can forward any clinical queries to the nursing teams.

Wirral Carers Alliance are joined by Koala North West and the The Positivitree

Koala North West is a charity organisation that looks after the emotional wellbeing of families, offering practical support and solutions to everyday parenting.

The Positivitree offers support services for Parent Carers of children and young people with additional health, care, educational, emotional or medical needs.
Through peer support, wellbeing activities, workshops, social groups and self-care programmes, they help Parents and Carers feel less alone, build confidence and look after their own wellbeing while caring for their family.

📣 Is your child moving to a new phase of education?

Choosing the right school or college can feel overwhelming, particularly when you are unsure where to begin. Our Choosing a School sessions will help parent/carers understand the phase-transfer process and consider which educational setting could best meet their child’s needs.

These sessions are for parent/carers whose child has an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan and is:

• starting school
• moving from infants to juniors
• moving from Year 6 to Year 7
• moving from Year 11 into post-16 education

During the 90-minute session, we’ll discuss:

✅ Schools or colleges you have the right to request
✅ Choosing the right educational setting
✅ What different schools and colleges offer
✅ Matching a setting’s offer to your child’s needs

Choose from four sessions:

​​A Disability Employment Adviser (DEA) is a specialist within the DWP who provides tailored, personalised support to people with disabilities, health conditions, and caring commitments.

Working both within the job centre and community through outreach, a DEA helps individuals move closer to work by identifying health‑related barriers, exploring strengths and transferable skills, and supporting realistic and achievable goals.

​They offer friendly coaching and advice on how health, caring responsibilities, and work can fit together, suggest suitable training, volunteering, or development opportunities, and explain reasonable adjustments that may make work more manageable.

​DEA will also be at the Carer Connection Centre on the following Wednesday's to offer support from 10am to 3pm
