What a fantastic weekend for Challengers in the Round Shuna Weekend last weekend.
On a couple of days of very strong winds Duncan Greenhalgh was first boat on handicap in the Ardfern to Craobh Haven Passage Race on Saturday.
On Sunday, a day of mixed fortunes, David Driffill picked up the "First Boat Home" prizes in the Round Shuna Pursuit Race - prizes included a case of Campagne and a prize for first Challenger.
Other Challenger sailors on Saturday were Liz Eaton. Steve Laycock and John McPartlin who all revelled in the adventurous conditions.
Well Done to all👏👏👏👏👏

On Sunday 30th Aug, Sailability Scotland was invited to Castle Semple SC to enjoy there 60th Anniversary celebrations. With 3 back to back races on a beautiful sunny day (after the rain the day before). A fantastic lunch and prizes. Together with a table full of raffle prizes lots of fun was had by all. Here is a selection of photos that was captured that day.

Sorry for late updating everyone with photos of Loch Earn traveller's event (22/23 August). The phone I took the photos from went on the go slow. Anyway the event was a lovely weekend with fair winds on the Saturday which dropped on race 3 and Stephen Laycock managed to catch the wind from nowhere and collected his first 1st. A lovely group meal at the four seasons hotel on the Saturday evening, discussing the days events. Sunday the wind gods blessed us with some more wind. Full events of the day will be published in the yachts & yachting in due course.

Six visiting Challengers made their way to Loch Earn Sailing Club for the final event in Sailability Scotland's 2026 Challenger Traveller Series. Unfortunately, while there was a Challenger available for Liz Eaton, she was unable to come.
