Chasend Shetland Ponies

Chasend Shetland Ponies The Chasend Stud of miniature shetland ponies was established in 1997. The stud stands one stallion, Athelney Lightning, who runs with four mares.

It is run by mother, Jennie Hutton and daughter, Sophie Jones who have a strong passion for the breed. Jennie is no stranger to the breed having been a part of the Robinhill stud in the 1970’s. Some of his daughters have been retained and are successfully shown by Sophie.
