One of the lessons I learnt in my Menopause Yoga TT with Petra, was how important Strength Training is, specifically for women, in our 40's, 50's, 60's and beyond.
As we age, we lose muscle mass (known as sarcopenia). This slows down our metabolism, affects our energy levels and makes everyday activities like climbing stairs, getting out of chairs, lifting objects and balancing noticeably harder. Muscle strength also supports our heart health and our brain health and it feels good to be empowered and independent! 💪💥
