Chiltern Pharmacy

Now that the non-disclosure restrictions have been lifted, we are happy to be able to communicate the arrangements more openly.

We are pleased to introduce Chiltern Pharmacy, which will take over the existing Morrisons Pharmacy in Verwood from the 1st of September.

The Pharmacy will remain at the same location:

Patients’ existing prescription nominations should transfer automatically, and they can continue using the pharmacy as usual - although the NHS will be transferring these on Tuesday morning, so please bear with us as we deal with any issues that may arise. We explored whether this could be completed over the bank holiday weekend; however, the NHS team does not operate at weekends or on bank holidays.

Both pharmacy teams will be working behind the scenes throughout the bank holiday weekend to prepare for the transfer and ensure the transition is as smooth as possible.

To minimise changes for patients and local healthcare teams, we plan to retain the pharmacy’s existing telephone number: 01202 826555

From 1 September, Chiltern Pharmacy will be operating from Morrisons, Chiltern Drive, Verwood.

📱No need to guess whether your prescription is ready — we’ll text you when it is.

👩‍⚕️We’ll also be offering a wider range of NHS and private healthcare services in store, bringing even more convenient healthcare closer to home.

New name, new systems, more services — and the same convenient location.

Like London buses, it was amazing to be back in parliament again on Friday, this time the House of Commons for the Training Matters Recognition of Excellence 2026 awards.

Our fabulous team were finalists for the Pharmacy Team of the Year award, a deserving recognition of all their hard work and care. It was inspiring to be in the room with so many exceptional people, and fantastic to receive a Highly Commended award.

It was an absolute privilege to be invited to the Independent Pharmacies Association parliamentary dinner in the House of Lords earlier this week, a chance to highlight the current funding and drug procurement issues to MPs but also represent the areas that pharmacy can make a real difference to NHS service delivery in the future.

It was great to meet so many like minded contractors and to hear the thoughts of Leyla Hannbeck, the IPA chair, and several MPs who had attended the earlier parliamentary debate.

Our internet is now back up and running, but please be patient while we get back up to speed and catch up.

Our main internet and phone system are currently down (seem to be issues in our area of Verwood). We have temporary backup so are able to do minimal dispensing, but please bear with us while BT fix (ETA 2 hours) to get back to full capacity. We can’t answer the phone at present.
