DERMAPLANING ✨
Say goodbye to peach fuzz & hello to smoother, glowing skin!
Am I a good candidate for dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning can be suitable for most skin types, particularly those with dry, dull or rough-textured skin. It can also help improve the appearance of fine lines, superficial pigmentation and mild acne scarring, leaving the skin looking smoother and more radiant.
Is dermaplaning safe?
When performed by a trained professional using sterile equipment, dermaplaning is generally considered a safe and gentle treatment. As with any treatment, there is a small risk of minor nicks or irritation. Any temporary redness or sensitivity typically settles quickly, and there is minimal to no downtime for most clients.
How is dermaplaning different from a chemical peel?
The main difference is how the skin is treated. Dermaplaning provides superficial physical exfoliation, removing dead skin cells and fine vellus hair from the skin’s surface. A chemical peel uses an exfoliating solution that works at a specific depth within the skin.
Dermaplaning is therefore a great option for surface-level exfoliation and achieving smoother, brighter-looking skin, while peels can be tailored to address other concerns at different depths.
How long does the treatment take?
A dermaplaning treatment typically takes around 30–45 minutes. Treatments are usually spaced around 3–4 weeks apart, allowing your skin time to naturally renew and recover between appointments.
Will my facial hair grow back thicker or darker?
No! Dermaplaning does not change the structure, colour or growth rate of your hair. It removes fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) from the surface of the skin. When it grows back, it will return with the same texture and thickness as before.
