To all of my lovely clients,
Thank you for your support and patience at this difficult time.
My apologies for having to reschedule appointments, as soon as the funeral details are settled I will be looking to come back home and will set aside a few days to catch up with all appointments that have been missed.
Thank you again....

For the first time ever, scientists have created a detailed 3D map of the human vagus nerve.

Why does that matter?

Because the vagus nerve is one of the body's most important communication pathways.

It connects the brain with the heart, lungs, digestive system and many other organs and plays a central role in regulating breathing, heart rate, digestion and other automatic body functions.

This landmark project, funded by the U.S. National Institutes of Health, is expected to help researchers better understand how the vagus nerve works and support the development of more precise neuromodulation therapies in the future.

For Bowen Therapists, it's another reminder of something we've long appreciated: the body is profoundly interconnected.

Rather than viewing the body as a collection of separate parts, Bowen Therapy takes a whole-body approach, recognising that supporting the body's communication and regulatory systems is just as important as addressing where symptoms appear.

As research continues to uncover the complexity of the human body, one thing becomes increasingly clear... everything is connected.

The art of Bowen isn’t just knowing where to place a move.

It’s knowing how to listen.

Bowen Therapists observe the body’s responses and work with those signals — using gentle input, careful timing, and intentional pauses.

Less about forcing.

More about following.

Your symptoms are signals — but they’re not the whole picture.

What feels like a local issue (tight calves, sore shoulders, stiff neck) may actually be part of a larger pattern your body has been managing quietly for years.

Bowen Therapy aims to address the deeper systems:
• fascia
• muscle tension
• joint alignment
• nervous system balance
• compensation patterns

Because lasting change can happen when the whole body gets the memo — not just one part.

The human body possesses a remarkable ability to heal and adapt.

Think about a simple cut.

The band-aid protects the area, but the healing itself is carried out by your body through an intricate series of processes that happen automatically.

New tissue forms. The wound closes. The skin repairs.

No reminders required.

Bowen Therapy is built on a deep respect for this innate intelligence.

Rather than forcing change, Bowen Therapists work with the understanding that the body already has extraordinary capacities for adaptation, regulation, and repair.

Sometimes a cut is a powerful reminder of just how much is happening behind the scenes.

When one system is under stress, others respond.

Posture influences muscle tension.
Muscle tension affects breathing.
Breathing shapes nervous system tone.
And nervous system stress can change how the whole body functions.

Bowen Therapy listens to the entire conversation — not just the loudest complaint.

Bowen Therapy may look simple, but the skill lies in the details.

Learning Bowen isn't about applying more pressure or mastering complicated techniques. It's about developing the hands-on sensitivity to recognise the right depth, angle, and timing for each move.

These subtle skills are learned through practice, observation, and feedback.

That's why we teach Bowen Therapy in person.

Some things can only be learned through experienced hands guiding your own.

Danny recommends Bowen Therapy

About 3.5 years ago I began to suffer quite badly with Carpal tunnel syndrome and was advised that I’d likely require injections and/or surgery to rectify this. I had already known Sarah for some time and had spoken with her about the Bowen technique on several occasions. At the point where the discomfort had become so bad, Sarah insisted I give Bowen a try, I thought, why not!

The result was little short of miraculous, with huge improvements to the discomfort I was in straight away, we then followed up with a few subsequent appointments which really helped.

Since then I see Sarah every once in a while to address the various aches and pains I develop due to having a physical job, as well as a soft tissue injury I developed whilst training for a marathon last year, the Bowen worked and I completed this despite the injury.

I cannot recommend Sarah and Bowen enough for general maintenance and keeping me in fine fettle.

Most therapists were taught where to place the move…
but not always how to read the body first.

Sometimes the difference isn’t technique.

It’s noticing:

👉 what’s actually presenting
👉 what the body is prioritising
👉 what’s compensating

And once you start to see that…

you don’t work the same way again.
