I won't lie, the last few weeks have been hard.
Parenting neurodivergent children can be beautiful, rewarding, exhausting, frustrating and heartbreaking, sometimes all in the same day.
For me, the hardest part isn't always the appointments, school meetings or trying to find the right support.
It's staying regulated myself when my children are dysregulated.
Holding space for their emotions whilst carrying my own.
Trying to stay calm when everything around me feels overwhelming.
I know I'm not the only parent who feels this way.
If you're in a difficult season right now, please know you're not alone.
Sometimes getting through the day is enough. It's hard and it's something I'm still learning too.
And if you needed to hear this today, you're doing great.
Remember to be gentle with yourself.
What's one thing you do to help yourself regulate when life feels overwhelming?
