IMPROVE HANDWRITING SPEED and CONTROL with Ebonite/Vulcanite Heavyweight Pens. Made from hardened, dense rubber with heavy metal components, these pens are heavier than standard pens and ideal for many people with poor pen control, proprioception difficulties, or a preference for a pen with more heft. I often work with teenagers who struggle to produce the volume of handwriting required for classwork, exams, and homework, where control and speed can be a major barrier. The added weight and thickness of these pens can improve control and increase handwriting speed by 10% to 50% or more. I also replace the traditional ballpoint Parker-style refill with a smoother-flowing gel refill.
