💙 Myeloma Awareness Week
Know the signs.
Myeloma is a blood cancer that affects plasma cells in the bone marrow.
It can be difficult to diagnose because symptoms are often vague or mistaken for other conditions.
⚠️ Possible symptoms include:

*Persistent bone or back pain
*Extreme tiredness
*Frequent infections
*Unexplained fractures
*Kidney problems

🩺 If symptoms are persistent or worsening, speak to your GP and ask if myeloma could be a possibility.

💚 What is a speculum?
The speculum is a small medical instrument used during cervical screening.
It’s gently inserted so the nurse can see the cervix and take a sample.
✅ The test usually takes around 5 minutes
✅ You can ask to stop at any time
✅ You can ask for a smaller speculum
✅ You’re always in control
Cervical screening checks for high‑risk HPV and helps prevent cervical cancer.
