Many people who come to see me have spent years getting really good at saying 'yes'.

Yes to the extra responsibility. Yes to the plan that wasn't quite theirs. Yes to showing up for everyone else first. Yes when they didn't really mean it.

Saying 'no' when you're worried about what the response is going to be can be scary. But what if the first step isn't being brave enough to say it — it's just learning to feel it?

Swipe to find out what I mean. 👉

Your body has been trying to tell you something for years.

Most of us were taught to think our way through life. To analyse, to push through, to get on with it. And we got very good at it.

Craniosacral therapy works differently. It begins in the quiet underneath all of that — where your nervous system can finally stop scanning, and something truer can be heard.

Sessions include time to integrate what arises, so you leave feeling settled, not stirred up.

If something in this carousel felt familiar, that recognition is worth following

No visual. That's the point

This is the one hour in your schedule where the visuasl stop mattering. Where you're not scanning the room, reading the energy, working out what's needed from you. Where the radar, the one that's been pointed outward for as long as you can remember, finally gets to take a break

Eyes closed. Or open, if that feels safer. No right way

Just inwards

Most of the people who find their way to my table have spent years, sometimes decades, being extraordinarily good at paying attention to everything outside of themselves. They can read a room before they've crossed the threshold. They know what everyone else needs before they've been asked. They've done all the right things, shown up in all the right ways

And somewhere in the middle of all that devotion to the external world, they lost the signal from inside

Not dramatically. Not in a way anyone else would notice. Just quietly, gradually. The way thst you can stop hearing a low sound that's always there in the background

Craniosacral therapy simply creates the conditions for you to come back

A gentle hand
Stillness
Your nervous system remembering
Oh! I can let go here

Your body starting to speak again, in the language it's always known, the one you just haven't had the peace to hear

You don't have to do anything during aession. That might be the most unfamiliar part. You just have to show up. And let yourself be

If something in you recognised itself in this, I'd love to meet you

Sessions are available in Walthamstow, Bethnal Green, online (and somewhere new, coming soon). Link in bio to book, or send me a message and we'll find a time.

One of my biggest triggers is going to the vet and them telling me that Cora is too heavy

But is being incredulous on her behalf really what it's about? Can I find a pause in the reaction and see what's underneath?

For those times of getting stuck in a thought loop, whatever that may be, finding that pause (even if it takes hours!) Has started to change everything

Craniosacral therapy has given me that awareness of what's going on beneath the thought. The resources to interrupt the cycle and maybe find a new perspective

What gives you the space to consider reactivity?

Some people ask me who should have craniosacral therapy, and I say it can be supportive for anyone!

Regardless of age, gender, background, health concerns

I don't to restrict my treatments to a certain demographic - that would mean many of the most beautiful sessions with individuals would never have happened

Don you see yourself in any of these people?

I found myself repeating this sentence like a mantra in my mind when I was with a client yesterday

Reassuring their whole being that I was not trying to
💥 Judge them
💥 Change them
💥 Shame them
💥 'Fix' them
💥 Make them fit into a certain box

Afterwards, I realised that this is what a wish for everyone who lays on the treatment couch for me

We come to craniosacral therapy to connect to our body’s innate wisdom, not to be impressed upon by anyone or anything

Let me know in the comments if this resonates with you

I still get that excited feeling when I get a new booking or someone reaches out to me about craniosacral therapy

And it aint about the kerching!

As a solopreneur (lol), every person who wants to work with me matters

It's about meeting another person on another plain. Stepping out of the mainstream and having the courage to witness yourself and be witnessed on a deeper level that many of us are used to. Having the curiosity to try out something that is somewhat indescribable and subtle yet palpable and profound

Bravo to those of you hear the call and follow through

During my training with , I was really blown away at the depth to which we learned about the autonomic nervous system (ANS). In my 9 years of higher education (4 in undergrad, 1 in masters and another 4 for the PhD), the ANS was always positioned as something that just happens in the background

In truth, it is lens through which we experience the world. When we are stressed, we are more likely so see others as a threat, fall apart when things don't go to plan, withdraw, fly off the handle... you get the picture

In having an informed awareness of the intricate but highly organised anatomy of the networks of the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems has been integral in having a wide perspective of the interconnectedness of all parts of the body as I work with people craniosacrally

From my PhD looking at peripheral neuropathy, I knew about the structure of the somatic nervous system (in short, sensation and voluntary movement). But as one specialises in academia, the perspective shifts to focusing a more and more narrow lens on looking for what is wrong in a body, an organ, a tissue, a cell...

Everything is observed in segregation and we miss out on the complete system. How all of our biology systems are constantly talking to each other, whether or not we understand the language

Taking a step back, widening my perspective and being open to each person's experience has not only made me into a craniosacral therapist but also changed my whole life view

We're in craniosacral therapy awareness week, so I wanted to create a togline overview of what the craniosacral system is

The anatomy of the bones, membranes, tissues and fluids

This practice is grounded in physiology, osteopathy and and informed awareness of the processes going on in the body

Any excuse to jump on an inner child trend, and add Devendra Banhart song!

See slide 5 for the physical manifestation of the good girl and the wild one (asymmetry)

Trying to lean more into the latter these days, engaging with these practices that have been my tools to unlearning all of the ways in which this world tries to suppress powerful little girls

Here to pass it on
