☀️ Summer Solstice Blessings ☀️

On 21st June, the Sun reaches its highest point in the Northern Hemisphere, marking the Summer Solstice—the longest day of the year and a sacred turning point on the Wheel of the Year.

For countless generations, this has been a time of celebration, gratitude, abundance, and connection with the life-giving power of the Sun. Bonfires blazed on hilltops, communities gathered in joy, and people welcomed the dawn as light reached its fullest expression.

Yet the Solstice also reminds us of an eternal truth: every peak contains the seed of the next cycle. As the wheel turns once more, we are invited to honour what has blossomed whilst reflecting on what we wish to nurture during the months ahead.

🔥 The Festival of the Burning of the Lamps 🔥

Around 20th June, Ancient Egypt honoured one of the great sacred festivals of Aset (Isis): the Festival of the Burning of the Lamps.

Ancient texts describe lamps being carried in procession around the resting place of Asar (Osiris), symbolising the power of sacred light to rekindle life, hope, and renewal where darkness once prevailed.

This beautiful observance reminds us that even during times of challenge, transition, or apparent endings, the light of consciousness, devotion, and love can illuminate the way forward.

As we approach the Summer Solstice, this ancient festival offers a powerful reminder that transformation often begins with a single spark.

Tuesday 16th June marks Leylet-en-Nuktah, the Night of the Tear Drop, an ancient Khemitian festival associated with Aset (Isis) and the life-giving waters of the Nile.
