May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

Did you know that hearing loss can impact more than just communication? It can also affect mental health — leading to feelings of isolation, frustration, anxiety, and depression.

At Reed’s Hearing Care, we believe staying connected to conversations, loved ones, and everyday moments plays an important role in overall wellbeing. Taking care of your hearing is also taking care of your mental health.

If you or someone you love has been struggling to hear clearly, we’re here to help with compassionate care and support every step of the way.

Because everyone deserves to feel heard — in every sense of the word. 👂💚

A lovely home visit this morning fitting a TV box for one of our patients 🎧📺

It’s wonderful to know that both her and her husband can now enjoy watching television together again — at volumes that are comfortable for them both!

No more struggling to hear dialogue or having the TV too loud for one person and too quiet for the other.

Small changes like this can make such a big difference to everyday life, and it’s always a pleasure to help people reconnect with the moments that matter most and get pleasure from the simple things in life ❤️

If you’d like to know more about hearings aids and television connectivity contact us on 07585525993 for more information 🙂

As Deaf Awareness Week comes to a close, one thing stands out above everything else: be kind.

Take the time to listen, learn, include, and communicate with patience. Small actions can make a huge difference in helping Deaf people feel seen, respected, and understood every day — not just this week. 💙

Deaf Awareness Week 💙

When someone doesn’t respond, there may be reasons you can’t see.

One of our young people created this powerful poster based on her own experiences, and we’re proud to share it.

A reminder to pause, reflect, and think before you react.

Deaf Fatigue.

It’s more than just being tired—it’s the mental and emotional exhaustion from constantly trying to keep up in a world that isn’t built for deaf people.

Lipreading, focusing intensely, filling in gaps, and advocating for access all day long… it adds up.

Awareness matters—but it should lead to understanding and action.

Simple things can help:
• Face people when you speak
• Don’t cover your mouth
• Be patient and repeat if needed
• Use captions where possible

If your having trouble hearing the people around you and feel you are struggling with deaf fatigue, contact us today to see how we can help

🤟 National Deaf Awareness Week 🤟

This week, we celebrate Deaf culture, raise awareness, and champion a more inclusive world for everyone.

💬 Communication for All
Let’s break down barriers—whether that’s learning basic sign language, using captions, or simply being patient and present in conversations. We all have the right to understand.

🌍 Accessibility Matters
Equal access isn’t optional. From workplaces to public spaces, everyone deserves to feel included and understood.

🤝 Inclusion & Respect
Deaf people are not defined by what they can’t hear, but by their experiences, talents, and communities. Let’s listen differently and value every voice.

💡 Take Action
✔ Learn some basic sign language
✔ Face people when you speak
✔ Support inclusive policies
✔ Challenge assumptions

Together, we can create a world where everyone is heard—whether through sound, sign, or expression.

🌍✨ Happy World Design Day! ✨🌍

Today we celebrate the power of design to transform lives—and hearing aids are not exception!

Modern hearing aids are no longer just devices… they are beautifully designed, intelligent pieces of technology built around people. From sleek, discreet styles to advanced features like AI-powered sound processing and seamless Bluetooth connectivity, today’s hearing solutions are changing how we experience the world.

In fact, the latest innovations are using real-time artificial intelligence to adapt to different environments automatically, making conversations clearer and everyday moments richer.

Design isn’t just about how something looks—it’s about how it works, how it feels, and how it empowers us. Hearing technology today is a perfect example of inclusive, human-centred design helping people stay connected, confident, and independent.

Let’s celebrate design that truly makes a difference. 💙👂

The most rewarding part of what we do isn’t just the technology.

It’s the moment everything changes for someone.

It’s when a partner’s voice is heard clearly again, without asking them to repeat themselves.

It’s when a grandparent hears their grandchild and smiles instantly.

It’s when confidence returns after months—or even years—of feeling disconnected and isolated.

Hearing care isn’t just about hearing.

It’s about connection, relationships, and quality of life.

Being part of that journey, even in a small way, is something we never take for granted.

What’s the most rewarding part of your work?
