What’s in your bottled water? 🤔💧

Tests have shown false claims or unwanted bacteria along with a certain company draining natural resources 😳 so here are the top three that are worth buying ⬇️

One water ✔️💧
Highland Spring ✔️💧
Breacon Carrig ✔️💧

Note - with any plastic bottles, there is a likely risk of plastic shredding, so if possible go for glass bottles

Countertop filters can help remove chlorine and some heavy metals, but the best filters at quite an expense are reverse osmosis filters, however these can strip the water of some of beneficial minerals so I would recommend taking a mineral supplement 🙂‍↕️

What’s in your tapwater? 🤔 That would depend on your own water company and their published results (if they are believable based on the history of certain water companies) .!!😯

Feeling grateful today 💛
Over the last month, as a Nutritionist, Wellbeing Consultant, Meditation Teacher and Sound Facilitator, I’ve had the privilege of supporting so many wonderful people.
I’ve carried out 18 weight-loss consultations, 4 digestive health consultations, a hormonal health consultation, 2 diabetes consultations, and helped several people with energy, low mood and overall wellbeing.
I’ve also run four sound baths, facilitated a one-to-one session, attended two sound baths myself, and volunteered on a helpline seven times.
Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful to do work that I genuinely love. 🙏
So why am I sharing this?
Because many of us — especially women — are often very good at noticing what we haven’t done, where we’ve fallen short, or what we could do better. We’re not always as good at acknowledging all that we have achieved.
And when you live alone, there’s no one there at the end of the day to say, “Well done, you’ve done a great job today.” So I’ve been reminding myself that it’s okay to give ourselves that pat on the back sometimes. 😊
So this is me taking a moment to acknowledge a month of meaningful work, learning, service and connection.
And while I’m at it, I’d love to celebrate you too.
Whatever you’ve achieved over the last month — whether it feels big or small — please take a moment to recognise it. You deserve credit for how far you’ve come. 💛
A huge well done to each and every one of you, and if you need it today, here’s a big virtual pat on the back from me. 👏✨

When we’re stressed ( who isn’t!) we need more B Vitamins, Magnesium and Vit C.

Whilst we can get good amounts of Vit C from citrus fruits🍈 , tomatoes 🍅 and peppers 🫑, most of us are deficient in magnesium especially as it’s also depleted through exercise and alcohol and lower in our soil

Whilst leafy greens 🥬, nut and seeds 🥜, whole grains and meat can supply magnesium and B vitamins- you made need additional support during stressful times 😮‍💨

Taking 200mg- 400mg magnesium citrate or glycinate can be really helpful to support stress, muscle tension and sleep 😴

Taking a B complex that has 25mg of each B vitamin is really helpful to boost mood and energy when stressed

Some of these are found in multi vitamins but often in lower doses than is optimal ⬇️

The recommended dose for vitamins (RDI) was set to address serious conditions such rickets and scurvy - not to optimise a stressed population

Are you comfort eating instead of speaking up ?

i’ve been working with a client today who spent a week of eating all the wrong things because he couldn’t voice his anger and frustration about a certain situation 🤬

So many people use food as a suppression, or a punishment or a comfort for when they can’t say how they’re really feeling 🥺☹️

In these situations why not write down all the things you wished you said, and then look at why you couldn’t say them 🤔

This may allow you to speak up and find your power the next time 🗣️

It’s ok not to know !

We don’t know when we’ll die, we don’t know if our friends will last, we don’t know if we’ve got enough money, we don’t know if this job is forever, we don’t know if our children will be alright, and we don’t know what tomorrow will bring! 🤔

It’s that’s ok ! We can’t know it all. Stop worrying, stop trying to control it! Who knows, just embrace what we’ve got. The rest is unknown!✨🫶😮‍💨

There’s a lot happening in our solar system at the moment which maybe increasing exhaustion and emotional sensitivity 🪐

If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious or stressed then a group soundbath 🎼or one to one can rebalance the nervous system, allowing tension to be released 😮‍💨- allowing us to look at our life more clearly. 🫶✨

Where might we need help, set better boundaries or allow ourselves more relaxation? 🤔

I’d love to help so have a look at my offerings www.whatseatingyou.co.uk 🙏

Holistic health support takes many shapes and forms 🌷

For one of my elderly clients, I found out details at her local library where she could learn social media to enable her to keep in contact with friends

I also researched urologists for her so she could get out and about and move more without worrying about the toilet

And with the help of my lovely friend I organised some Home Help to help go through papers, move boxes and drive her to appointments when she was feeling unsure.

These additional resources allow her to be able to focus on food and movement and have the motivation and most importantly greater happiness to make changes.

These three things were short five minute phone calls but have made a world of difference to her well-being 🙏🫶

Stay Sugar Free with Easy Protein Breakfasts

Eating protein for breakfast rather than toast with jam or marmite, balances your blood sugar and prevents it continuing to roller coaster up and down over the day. This gives us lasting energy and concentration and prevents mid morning sugar cravings 🎢

Egg muffins are a perfect start to the day. You can batch cook and freeze, and they are really portable. Feel free to add your own ingredients to adapt them to your way of eating, veggie or meat eaters. See my recipe www.whatseatingyou.co.uk

Other easy protein breakfasts include:

- Cottage cheese and natural yoghurt with berries and seeds 🫐
Nut butter on wholemeal seeded toast 🥜
Eggs and avocado with salmon or tuna 🥑
Porridge with nut butter or nuts and seeds 🥣

Many people rely on something sweet to start the day such as porridge with honey or granola with dried fruit. This is often because their blood sugar has dipped too low over night. Eating protein breaks the sugar habit and helps keep you fuller for longer ☺️

White bread has all the fibre and vitamins removed which means our bodies convert it into glucose really quickly.
Eating some protein with white bread should slow down this process but often doesn’t. The added preservatives and fast-proving chemicals can really accelerate blood sugar spikes
To avoid this, eat wholemeal sourdough that is more naturally made with less ingredients.
Make your filling as big as the bread and have some raw veggies on the side, as well as some good fats in the bread such as avocado or Hummus.

These small changes can help your sandwich keep you full all afternoon instead of making you hungrier!

ARE COLLAGEN SUPPLEMENTS WORTH IT ?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/series/p07012sf?partner=uk.co.bbc&origin=share-mobile

This study has confirmed my own research that collagen supplements are not really worth the hype and show minimal benefits

If you want to boost collagen -

1. Eat more vitamin C which foods such as citrus, kiwi and peppers. Vitamin C boosts the production of collagen. 🥝
2. Eat more protein, especially meat and fish and bone broth. These amino acids are the building blocks of collagen. 🍗🥩
