Yes, I swapped the traffic and congestion — and an hour-and-a-half commute — for a flight and a six-minute walk from my accommodation. Has it been worth it? Absolutely 💯

**This Week’s Training Schedule**

It’s been a busy week filled with valuable training sessions! Here’s a quick rundown of what we’ve been up to:

- **Monday**: Kicked off the week with a **First Aid** course at the Three Counties Showground, wrapping up a comprehensive three-day program that provided essential skills and knowledge.

- **Tuesday**: Focused on **Personal Care** training in Gravesend, Kent. This large course allowed us to dive deep into strategies for supporting individuals with learning support needs, emphasizing the importance of fostering independence.

- **Wednesday**: Dedicated to an **office day** for planning and catching up on administrative tasks, ensuring we stay organized and on track.

- **Thursday**: Conducted a **Paediatric First Aid** course in Evesham, equipping participants with critical skills for handling emergencies involving children.

- **Friday**: Wrapped up the week with a **Moving and Handling** session at Goodmayes Hospital, reinforcing safe practices and techniques.

As a little note to myself: I definitely need to sort out my geography! Looking forward to the next round of training sessions and continuing to support our community. Keep up the great work, everyone!

🌟 **Day 2 Recap: 3-Day Moving and Handling and Assessing Train the Trainer Course** 🌟

Today, our participants engaged in an informative and hands-on session, diving deeper into essential topics related to moving and handling. Here’s what we covered:

🔹 **The Law**: Gained insights into the legal framework surrounding moving and handling practices.

🔹 **Identifying and Reducing Risk**: Explored strategies for spotting risks and implementing effective measures to keep everyone safe.

🔹 The Importance of Risk Assessment Learned how to conduct thorough risk assessments.

🔹 Care Plans ,Discussed the development and implementation of effective care plans.

🔹 Person-Centred Care PlansEmphasised the importance of tailoring care to meet individual needs.

🔹Managing Challenges . Developed strategies for effectively managing challenges in moving and handling.

We also engaged in practical exercises, including:

🔸 Practising , Sit to Stand Techniques with one carer assisting two participants.

🔸 Learning about ,Back Chaining to support individuals in getting up from the floor independently.

🔸 Exploring the use of Chair Raizer to aid mobility.

🔸 Practising safe hoisting techniques by Hoisting Off the Floor

Tomorrow, our participants will deliver their micro-teaches, showcasing their learning and teaching skills!

It’s been a productive day, and we can’t wait to wrap up with Day 3! 💪✨
