One of our lovely carers in west Berkshire is walking 30 miles to raise money for Dementia UK. Please have a little read and if possible donate to this wonderful cause, even £1 will go a long way and help her to reach her goal ☺️

💛 A wonderful moment of progress and kindness 💛

At Bloomfield Care, we believe every small step is a huge achievement – and this story is exactly why we do what we do.

Our team member Jan gently supported her client, who hadn’t stepped outside her home since November 2024, to take a short 10‑minute wheelchair ride down the lane. With patience, reassurance, and absolutely no pressure, Jan took the time to listen, build trust, and let her client make the decision in her own time.

When the client agreed, she moved herself safely from her chair to her wheelchair completely independently – a wonderful show of her own ability and strength. Together they enjoyed the fresh air, seeing the changes nearby, and returned home feeling proud, uplifted, and more confident.

This beautiful moment was only possible because of Jan’s care, sensitivity, and belief in letting people lead their own way. Thank you, Jan, for your incredible patience and compassion – you truly helped your client take back a little piece of her world.

And most of all – congratulations to our Client! We are all so very proud of you 💛

🦋 It's the little things that often mean the most... 💙

At Bloomfield Care, we believe care is about so much more than providing support with day-to-day tasks. It's about truly getting to know the people we care for, listening to what brings them joy, and making them feel valued.

Yesterday was one of our lovely client's birthdays, and our wonderful carer, Jaime, wanted to make it extra special.

Knowing how much her client loves both art and butterflies, Jaime was inspired by a beautiful butterfly that had found its way into her client's room several times over the past couple of weeks. It had become a special talking point, with our client commenting on just how beautiful it was.

Wanting to create something meaningful, Jaime painted the butterfly by hand and presented it to her as a birthday gift today. 🖼️🦋

Our client was absolutely delighted, telling Jaime how much she loved the painting and how thoughtful and sweet the gesture was.

These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do. It's not just about care—it's about kindness, compassion, and making people feel truly seen and appreciated.

We're so proud of Jaime for going above and beyond to make someone's birthday that little bit brighter. 💙
