Does microneedling need to bleed to work?
No — and this is one of the biggest myths I keep seeing online.

Let’s talk about it.

The idea that microneedling needs to produce blood to be effective.

This is one of the most common misconceptions I’m seeing right now.

Pinpoint bleeding can occur depending on depth, area, and individual skin response — and that can be completely normal.

But aggressive pressure and excessive bleeding are unnecessary.

Microneedling is about creating controlled micro-injury to stimulate the skin’s natural repair response — not creating a pool of blood.

Technique, depth, and precision always matter more than force.

I recently saw a claim that microneedling is only effective if it “draws blood.” That is not how controlled skin regeneration works.

I’m sure there will be a few people who disagree, and that’s absolutely fine — but more blood does not automatically mean better results.

So, I have been a little busy and thinking how I can help the lovey wags and whiskers rescue uk as apparently, I am not allowed to adopt anymore animals (according to Jason)

So, after a little play, I have decided to make these collars, with a side release buckle - non adjustable so will been to be sized, or an actual buckle which will be adjustable, and have a ring for tags.

All proceeds (other than material costs) will go to Wags and Whiskers Rescue Uk to help towards the work they do!

I will be starting out small with one or two colours and will then add more designs - see pictures for availability.

It has been a busy and hard week in my day job.

But my clinic clients!

I don’t go out drinking or socialise in large groups. I didn’t go out or pop in for coffee as am quite an introvert!

I try and make sure that even a quick review, my clients have time to not feel rushed and pressured!

But also, these are my social contacts and I love spending time with all of them.

This is my cheesy grin at the end of my clinic this evening, and I feel really happy and fulfilled.
