LET'S MEET CATHERINE FROM Balanced Bodies

With over 20 years of personal practice in yoga and tai chi, Catherine is passionate about helping people on their journey to greater health, wellbeing, and happiness. Alongside her teaching, she also incorporates Reiki and sound healing, creating nurturing experiences that support both body and mind.

Sound baths can help regulate the nervous system by creating a deeply calming sensory experience that encourages the body to shift out of “fight or flight” mode and into a more restorative state. The slow, resonant tones produced by instruments like crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes can promote relaxation, steady breathing, and mindfulness, which may help reduce stress hormones and support emotional balance. Many people find that sound baths leave them feeling grounded, calm, and more connected to their bodies, making them a supportive practice for managing stress and nervous system overwhelm.

I'll be at Newton Community Centre tomorrow at 8pm, there are a couple of spaces left so drop me a message if you want to join us.

Feeling tired? Drained of energy? Like the weekend needs to be twice as long and that you could sleep for days?

It’s not always physical.

Maybe it feels like you've lost that flow, mentally, emotionally, or energetically.

Practices like movement, breathwork, and meditation can help to restore that flow, and give you the energy you need to feel happy and healthy.

You can start small, perhaps a couple of stretches in the morning when you wake up, then a quick five minute meditation before bed. Before you know it these small habits form the building blocks of your own personalised wellness programme. Something that fits into YOUR life and works for YOUR body.

If you would like to connect with others on the same journey, then you will always be welcomed into any Balanced Bodies class. No expectations, no judgements, just friendly spaces, friendly faces and a few laughs along the way.

This week you can find me at Bispham Methodist Church , St Helens Chain Lane Community Centre , Rainhill Village Hall Go Active Newton Community Centre and Childcare & Community Centre - Hilton Street - Ashton

Drop me a message if you want to attend any classes, we'd be happy to have you 😊
